Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 1st May 2025:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (STAVERTON GROVE, BROUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2159)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Staverton Grove, Broughton between numbers 32 and 110 Staverton Grove, to enable GTC to carryout Installation of new master isolation valve within the carriageway.
Whilst the road closure is in place the alternative route will be via Staverton Grove (Vice Versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 12th May 2025 to 16th May 2025 (24 Hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (ELDER GATE, CENTRAL MILTON KEYNES) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2167)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit any access to and along Elder Gate, Central Milton Keynes from its junction with Portway to its junction with Burger King to enable Power On to carryout cable installation works.
Whilst the road is closed the alternative route will be via Elder Gate, Silbury Boulevard, Grafton Gate and Portway (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 12th May 2025 to 2nd June 2025.
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (PINDON END, HANSLOPE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2088)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Pindon End, Hanslope, from the junction of Bozenham Mill Lane to its junction with Chantry Farm, to enable the use of a HIAB lorry to lift a cabinet onto the side of the rail.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Bozenham Mill Lane, A509 Northampton Road, Yardley Road, Station Road, Hanslope Road, Castlethorpe Road, Long Street Road (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 10:00pm on 10th May 2025 to 6:00am 11th May 2025.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (LONGSLADE LANE (PART), BOW BRICKHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2088)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Longslade Lane, Bow Brickhill from its junction with Church Lane to the border with Central Bedfordshire, to enable BT to safely undertake overhead jointing and tree cutting works.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Church Road, Woburn Sands Road, Bow Brickhill, The Leys, Hardwick Road and Woburn Road (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 12th May 2025 to 16th May 2025 (09:30 – 15:30).
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (KEATON CLOSE, CROWNHILL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2165)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Keaton Close, Crownhill to enable SGN to carry out works to lay a new service.
Access to properties will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 13th May to 22nd May 2025 (24 hours).
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29 April 2025, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATH 014 MOULSOE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2178)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit any access to and along Footpath 14 Moulsoe from its junction with Footpath 7 Newport Pagnell for approximately 740 metres.
Whilst the above footpaths are closed the alternative route will be via Footpath 15.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 5th May 2025 to 5th November 2025 (24 Hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS AND REDWAYS IN BLETCHLEY, GREAT HOLM, NEWPORT PAGNELL, OLNEY, SHENLEY WOOD AND TILBROOK) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2113)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following lengths of road and redway to enable Anglian Water to undertake maintenance works within the carriageway:
Cedars Way, Newport Pagnell from its junction with High Street to its junction with Bury Street.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via High Street, Tickford Street and Silver Street or High Street, Caldecote Street and Silver Street.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 6th May 2025 to 8th May 2025 (24 hours).
Fulmer Street, Shenley Wood (northbound only) from its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Chalkdell Drive.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Childs Way, Tattenhoe Street and Portway (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 21st May 2025 to 22nd May 2025 (between the hours of 09:30 and 16:00).
Moores Hill, Olney its entire length.
Whist the above closure is in effect, there will be no alternative route although access for residents will be maintained.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 19th May 2025 to 27th May 2025 (24 hours).
Redway GH04, Great Holm between numbers 29 and 35 Attingham Hill.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via the footway on the opposite side of the carriageway.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 19th May 2025 to 21st May 2025 (24 hours).
Redway TK01, Tilbrook from its junction with Redway TK03 for 30 metres in an easterly direction.
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via the Redway TK03 and Redway TK02 (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect on 19th May 2025 for a period of 1 day.
PUBLIC NOTICE 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (WELDON RISE, LOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2173)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Weldon Rise, Loughton to enable CityFibre to carry out works to lay a duct in the carriageway.
Whilst the closure is in place there will be no alternative route as Weldon Rise is a cul-de-sac.
Access to properties will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 6th May to 8th May 2025 (24 hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE 9:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN NETHERFIELD, DOWNHEAD PARK, COFFEE HALL AND FISHERMEAD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2176)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following lengths of roads to enable Openreach to carry out installation of duct works:
Perran Avenue, Fishermead – from its junction with Mullion Place to its junction with Kellan Drive.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Kellan Drive, Towan Avenue, Mullion Place (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 6th May to 12th May 2025 (24 hours).
Rochfords, Coffee Hall – from its junction with Chapter for 100 metres.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Chapter, St Dunstans and Lloyds (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 6th May to 19th May 2025 (24 hours).
Farmborough, Netherfield its entire length.
Whilst the above closure is in place there will be no alternative route. Access for residents will be provided where safe to do so.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 6th May to 19th May 2025 (24 hours).
Beadlemead, Netherfield – its entire length
Whilst the above closure is in place there will be no alternative route. Access for residents will be provided where safe to do so.
The temporary closure will be in effect from 7th May to 9th May 2025 (24 hours).
Daniels Welch, Coffee Hall – Outside to opposite Number 26.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Daniels Welch, Elfords, Garraways (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 7th May to 13th May 2025 (24 hours).
Cornbury Crescent, Downhead Park – from its junction with Number 14 to its junction with number 26.
Whilst the above closure is in place the alternative route will be via Oakley Gardens, Fairford Crescent (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 7th May to 13th May 2025 (24 hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE 10:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SUTHERLAND GROVE, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2130)
The effect of the above temporary traffic regulation Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Sutherland Grove, Bletchley from its junction with Angus Drive for 100 metres in a north easterly direction, to enable Openreach to carry out works to lay a duct in the carriageway.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Angus Drive, Forfar Drive and Whaddon Way (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 8th May to 9th May 2025 (24 hours).
PUBLIC NOTICE 11:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FALCON AVENUE, SPRINGFIELD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (Reference TTRO-2181)
The effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Falcon Avenue, Springfield from its junction with Kenwood Gate to its junction with Ravensbourne Place, to enable Openreach to carry out works to lay a duct in the carriageway.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Ravensbourne Place, Tyburn Avenue, Kenwood Gate (and vice versa).
The temporary closure will be in effect from 9th May to 15th May 2025 (24 hours).

Public Notices for Permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 1st May 2025:
PUBLIC NOTICE 12:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (LONG STREET, HANSLOPE) (40MPH SPEED LIMIT) (No.2) ORDER 1999) REVOCATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29th April 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) (2) (3), 4 (2) and 124(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the above Order will be to revoke the existing 40mph speed restriction along Long Street in Hanslope and replace it with 30mph by virtue of street lighting.
The made Order will take effect on 2nd May 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
PUBLIC NOTICE 13:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES) (VARIOUS ROADS, ROOKSLEY) (CONSOLIDATION OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN) ORDER 2017) VARIATION ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29th April 2025 made the above Traffic Regulation Order, under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) and 4(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the above Order will be to alter the existing no witing at any time restrictions on Precedent Drive in Rooksley.
The made Order will take effect on 2nd May 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.

MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GROVEWAY (H9), MILTON KEYNES) (40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) ORDER 2025
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (GROVEWAY (H9), MILTON KEYNES) (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN AND U-TURN) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 29th April 2025 made the above two Traffic Regulation Orders, under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3), 84(1), (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the above Orders will be to introduce a 40mph speed restriction, right turn ban and u-turn ban on parts of Groveway (H9).
The made Order will take effect on 2nd May 2025.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the made Order or any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or any Instrument made under the Act has not been compiled with may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for that purpose.
PUBLIC NOTICE 15:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, WALNUT TREE AND WAVENDON GATE) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2), 4(2), 53 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the above Traffic Regulation Order.
The general effect of the above proposed Order will be to introduce no waiting at any time restrictions (double yellow lines) along parts of Fyfield Barrow, Hindhead Knoll, Gregories Drive, Isaacson Drive and Sipthorpe Close in Walnut Tree and Wavendon Gate.
Milton Keynes City Council is now carrying out statutory consultation on the above proposal. Copies of the proposed Order, together with plans showing the general arrangements and a statement of reason, may be inspected on the Council’s website at:
