in the Parishes of Durleigh, Wembdon and Bridgwater Temporary 10mph Speed Limit for Convoy Working) Order 2025
Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, intends to make an Order, the effect of which will be to introduce a temporary 10mph Speed Limit for convoy working as specified in the Schedule below. This Order will come into operation on the 13th day of May 2025 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The Works are expected to commence on the 19th day of May 2025 until the 23rd day of May 2025 (between 2000 hours and 0500 hours) to enable Montel Civil Engineering Limited to carry out HFS works and lining works at the junction. The restriction will only apply when indicated by traffic signs.

A39 Quantock Road, Bridgwater – From the Quantock Road Cemetery in a westerly direction for a distance of 800 metres.
Statement of reasons for making the Order
a) because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road or b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
