What is happening?
BUCKINGHAMSHIRE COUNCIL
THE COUNCIL INTENDS TO MAKE
(Cherry Ln, Woodrow) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Cherry Ln for approx. 415M. Alternative route: Cherry Ln, Amersham Rd, Whielden Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst SPL Reconstruction works commence on 1 September 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 1 September 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Fingest Ln, Fingest) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Fingest Ln for approx. 19M. Alternative route: Fingest Ln, Stokenchurch Rd, Marlow Rd, Wycombe Rd, Oxford Rd, Ibstone Rd, Fingest Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water boundary box exchange works commence on 28 May 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 28 May 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Ashfield Barn Rd, Ibstone) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Ashfield Barn Rd for approx. 21M. Alternative route: Ibstone Rd, Fingest Rd, Turville Valley Rd, Ashfield Barn Rd and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Thames Water new water connection works commence on 12 May 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 12 May 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
(Cross Lanes, Chalfont St Peter) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 2025 which will temporarily prohibit any vehicle from proceeding, except for access, in Cross Lanes for approx. 74M. Alternative route: Mid Cross Ln, Chesham Ln, Rickmansworth Ln and vice versa. The closure is required whilst Openreach pole replacement works commence on 22 May 2025. The proposed Order will come into operation on 22 May 2025, as signed, with maximum 18 months duration.
THE COUNCIL HAS MADE
(Public Footpath No. 32/1, Parish of High Wycombe) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of public footpath from the junction of Hamilton Road and public footpath No. 32/1 continuing north east for approx. 100M. The closure is required whilst works are being carried out in the interest of public safety. Alternative route is via existing public highway. The Order will come into operation on 21 April 2025, as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
(Public Footpath No. 2/1, Parish of Stoke Poges) (Temporary Footpath Closure) Order 2025 under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which will temporarily prohibit any person from proceeding, except for access, in that length of Public Footpath No. 2/1 Parish of Stoke Poges, which commences at the junction with Fir Tree Avenue (north) and continues south for the entire length to the junction with Muddy Lane. The closure is required in the interest of public safety. Alternative route is provided from Fir Tree Avenue (from existing gate) along the northern and eastern boundary of the site (former Golf Course) exiting on Stoke Road which the diversion heads west along Muddy Lane. The Order will come into operation on 14 April 2025 as signed, with a maximum duration of 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the soonest.
