Wiltshire, Multiple Road Closures Due To Various Works
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Smallbrook Lane (Part), Warminster; from its junction with B3414 to its property known as No.23 Smallbrook Lane to enable Wale and West Utilities to carry out new connection and associated works. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 20 May 2025 and the closure will be required until 23 May 2025. B) C159 (Part), Lacock; from outside its property known as 88 Notton Park for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out excavation works and other associated works. Alternative route via C159 (unaffected length) – A4 – A350 – C159 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 20:00 for 2 days. For further information please contact Openreach on 0800 023 2023.
C) Leigh Grove (Part), Bradford on Avon; from its property known as Church Barn to its property known as Groveside to enable a boundary wall to be replaced and associated works to be carried out. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 16 May 2025 and the closure will be required on weekdays only between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 for 4 days. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
D) A360 (Part), West Lavington; from its junction with Ledge Hill to its junction with High Street to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A360 (unaffected length) – B3086 – The Packway – A345 – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 29 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 02 May 2025. E) C155 (Part), Lacock; from its junction with Hither Way for a distance of approximately 450m in a south westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out works and associated works. Alternative route via A350 – C150 – C155 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. F) Silver Street, Trowbridge; from its junction with Church Street to its junction with Market Street.
H) Market Street, Trowbridge; from its junction with Silver Street to its junction with Castle Street.
I) Roundstone Street, Trowbridge; from its junction with Polebarn Road to its junction with Silver Street.
J) Church Street (Part), Trowbridge; from its junction with Union Street to its junction with Silver Street to enable Beard Construction to carry out works. Alternative route: C14 – Newtown – Mortimer Street – A361 – The Halve – Union Street – Timbrell Street – Church Street – Church Street (unaffected length) – Manvers Street – Wicker Hill – Hill Street – Shails Lane – Upper Broad Street – Conigre. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 for 4 days. J) C391 (Part), Wingfield; from its junction with A366 to its junction with No.19 Tarfus Hill to enable Gigaclear to carry out excavation works and associated works. Alternative route via A366 (unaffected length) – B3108 – C391 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025 and the closures will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 for 2 days. Orders A to J will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all users:
A) Byway 26 (Part), Edington; from its junction with Salisbury Hollow to its junction with Footpath 32, Edington to enable the current crossing deck to be replaced with a surface safe for both pedestrians and vehicles due to the extensive cracking of the surface. Alternative route via existing rights and public rights of way. The closure which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 30 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 October 2025. B) Footpath 3 (Part), Staverton; from its junction with Marsh Road to its junction with Footpath 31, Hilperton to enable bank protection and repair works to canal banks. Alternative route via Footpath 31, Hilperton – Footpath 44, Hilperton – Marsh Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 06 June 2025. SECTION 16(A) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic:
A) Lacock Road (Part), Corsham; from its junction with B3353 Pound Pill to its junction with C157 Ladbrook Lane.
B) Ludmead Road (Part), Corsham; from its junction with B3353 Prospect to a distance of approximately 80m in an easterly direction.
C) Prospect (Part), Corsham; from its junction with A4 to its junction with B3353 Pickwick Road (Part), Corsham (northern side of carriageway only) at the following locations:
C); for a distance of approximately 250m between the junctions of Alexander Terrace and Paul Street (Numbers 43 - 45);
D); for a distance of approximately 50m between the junctions of Paul Street and Providence Lane (Numbers 51a - 56);
E); for a distance of approximately 15m between the junctions of Providence Lane and Beechfields Road (Numbers 57 - 63).
These temporary traffic measures are required to facilitate the safety of the public and participants whilst enabling the Corsham 10km and 2Km Running Race to take place. This Order will come into operation on Sunday 27 April 2025 with no vehicular access being permitted within the race, vehicles excepted as may be used by ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or in procession being given by a Police Constable in uniform. It is anticipated that closure (A) and restrictions (C), (D) and (E) will be required between the hours of 8:15 and 10:30 and closure (A) will be required between the hours of 11:00 and 12:30.
