What is happening?

DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

(TEMPORARY FOOTWAY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

WAVERLEY TERRACE, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council has made an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close:

WAVERLEY TERRACE FOOTWAY

From its junction with Park Lane westwards to the eastern boundary of 2 Waverley Terrace

An alternative route will be signed via Clifton Road, Victoria Road, Park Lane and vice versa.

The order is necessary to allow demolition of the adjacent buildings.

The maximum duration of the temporary closure under this Order is 18 months commencing from 28th April 2025, it is anticipated that the closure will be effective for 3 months.
