What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDLEWAY CHIPPERFIELD 11

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians, horseriders, and cyclists from using that length of Bridleway Chipperfield 11, heading south and west toward junction with Nursery Gardens, for an approximate distance of 25m.

Alternative Route: no suitable alternative on PRoW network The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place. The section of Bridleway Chipperfield 11 will be closed on or after 15 May 2025 for up to 3 days, when signs are in place. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CRAWLEYS LANE, WIGGINTON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Crawleys Lane, Wigginton from its junction with Wigginton Bottom south westwards to its junction with Chesham Road, a distance of approximately 217m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Wigginton Bottom and Chesham Road. The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MISWELL LANE, TRING) ORDER NO.3 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Miswell Lane, Tring from its junction with B4635 Western Road north westwards to its junction with B488 Icknield Way, a distance of approximately 841m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via B4635 (Western Road/Aylesbury Road) and B488 Icknield Way.

The Order is needed because utility installation works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN BOVINGDON BYWAY OPEN TO ALL TRAFFIC NO.007 [SHANTOCK HALL LANE]) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using Bovingdon Byway Open To All Traffic No.007 (Shantock Hall Lane) from its junction with Pudds Cross south eastwards to its junction with Shantock Lane, a distance of approximately 912m (“the Byway Open to

All Traffic”).

An alternative route will be via Pudds Cross and Shantock Lane. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Byway Open to All Traffic whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 May 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Byway Open to All Traffic.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PANCAKE LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Pancake Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its southernmost junction with Westwick Close north eastwards for a distance of approximately 51m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Pancake Lane, A4147 Leverstock Green Road, Green Lane, Westwick Row and Pancake Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF KINGS LANE, CHIPPERFIELD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Kings Lane, Chipperfield from its junction with Kings Close south westwards for a distance of approximately 53m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Kings Lane, Chapel Croft, The Street and Kings Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 7 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SELDEN HILL/WOLSEY ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the east and northbound carriageway of Selden Hill/Wolsey Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with King Harry Street eastwards and northwards for a distance of approximately 71m (“the length of Roads”).

An alternative route will be via Selden Hill, A414 St Albans Road, Park Lane and Selden Hill.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HEMPSTEAD LANE, POTTEN END) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hempstead Lane, Potten End from its junction with The Laurels south eastwards to a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.38 Hempstead Lane, a distance of approximately 116m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Hempstead Lane, The Common, Water End Road, Potten End Hill, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road,

Galley Hill Boxted Road, Berkhamsted Road and Hempstead Lane. The Order is needed because water works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF B4505 CHESHAM ROAD, BOVINGDON) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of B4505 Chesham Road, Bovingdon from a point 50m north east of its junction with Leyhill Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 550m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via B4505 (Chesham Road/Rushmere Avenue/Orchard Leigh/ Ley Green Road/Eskdale Avenue), A416

(Broad Street/Berkhampstead Road/Nashleigh Hill/Hayley Green

Road/Chesham Road), A41 (unnamed road), A4251 London Road, B4045 (Box Lane/Hempstead Road) and B4505 Chesham Road. The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY ONE WAY TRAFFIC SYSTEM ON STOCKS ROAD,

ALDBURY FOR THE DURATION OF THE ‘ALDBURY MAY FAIR’)

ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding along that length of Stocks Road, Aldbury from its junction with Aldbury Public Bridleway No.073 south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with Station Road, a distance of approximately 1215m (“the Road”), other than in a northerly direction only, when signs are in place.

An alternative route will be via B488 Upper Icknield Way, Northfield Road and Station Road.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure public safety and prevent accidents for the duration of the ‘Aldbury May Fair’. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 5 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
