Medway, Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice
What is happening?
VARIOUS ROADS, MEDWAY (COMMUNITY EVENTS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to facilitate the construction and removal of structures required for the holding of public community events, or because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst an event is taking place –
Traffic management - To facilitate the holding of the VE Day Parade in Rochester, on the date and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (2) and (3), the traffic management provisions detailed in the Schedule identified in the corresponding column (4) will apply.
Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. Alternative routes for through traffic will be signed locally. Access to premises will be maintained where possible.

Road closures and traffic restrictions -
Castle Hill from its junction of Esplanade to its junction with Epaul Lane, to include Castle Hill Court – to include suspension of one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access. Epaul Lane from its junction of Castle Hill to its junction with Boley Hill – to include suspension of no entry and one-way operation to allow resident/event vehicle access to High Street Rochester from its junction of Corporation Street bus lane to its junction with Star Hill – to include suspension of one-way operation for authorised vehicles only. Almon Place at its point 35m northeast of High Street to its junction with High Street. Bishops Walk - entire length. Eastgate Court at its junction with High Street. Eastgate Terrace at its junction with High Street. Crow Lane from its junction of High Street to its junction with Vines Lane. Blue Boar Lane from its junction of Blue Boar Lane car park entrance to its junction with High Street. La Providence at its junction with High Street. Northgate from its western junction of Cathedral car park to its junction with High Street. Cathedral Car Park at its junction with High Street. Boley Hill from its junction of St Margaret’s Street to its junction with High Street, to include its junction with Priors Gate Road. Priors Gate Road at its point 30m east of Boley Hill. College Yard at its junction of Priors Gate Road to its junction with High Street. Almon Place suspension of southbound only working and allow two-way traffic operation. Boley Hill at its junction of High Street, suspension of prohibited left or right turn for authorised vehicles only – Live event day 24/7. Corporation Street (Chatham bound) no vehicle is permitted to right turn into Northgate.
To facilitate the holding of VE Day Street Parties, on the dates and between the times set out in the corresponding columns (3) (4) and (5), road closure detailed in column (2) of the Schedule will apply.
