St Albans Road, South Mimms/Barnet – Temporary Road Closure and Waiting Restrictions due to Works

What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN A1081

ST ALBANS ROAD, SOUTH MIMMS/BARNET ORDER 2025)

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1081 St Albans Road, South Mimms/Barnet from its junction with the Dancers Hill Road/Bottoms Farm roundabout north westwards, south westwards and north westwards to its junctions with the Bignells Corner/M25 (junction 23) roundabout, a distance of approximately 1346m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1081 St Albans Road, A1000 High Street, A411 (Wood Street/Barnet Road) and A41 Barnet Bypass Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 May 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the Orders may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
