Medway, Multiple Temporary Traffic Regulation Notices

What is happening?

WARDEN ROAD, ROCHESTER (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Warden Road, Rochester - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 4 Warden Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Bretton Road and Maidstone Road.

This order will come into force on Tuesday, 13 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Tuesday, 13 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

SNODHURST AVENUE, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Snodhurst Avenue, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic across the frontage of 43A Snodhurst Avenue. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Harptree Drive.

This order will come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within four days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

CLIFFE ROAD, STROOD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable water supply works to be carried out

Cliffe Road, Strood - to be closed to all vehicular traffic at the side of 1 Frindsbury Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Frindsbury Road, Bill Street Road, Cooling Road, Hollywood Lane and Brompton Farm Road.

This order will come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within three days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

BEACON ROAD AND UPPER LUTON ROAD, CHATHAM (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Medway Council intend to make an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable high voltage electricity supply works to be carried out -

Beacon Road and Upper Luton Road, Chatham - to be closed to all vehicular traffic (a) in Beacon Road from the junction with Upper Luton Road to 60 Beacon Road and (b) in Upper Luton Road for 50 metres each side of the junction with Beacon Road. Pedestrian traffic will not be affected. An alternative route will be available via Chatham Hill, Luton Road and Ambrose Hill.

This order will come into force on Monday, 2 June 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are due to commence on or after Monday, 2 June 2025 and are programmed for completion within six days. The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.

A289 WAINSCOTT BY-PASS (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

Notice is hereby given that Medway Council have made an order the effect of which will be to impose the following temporary prohibitions or restrictions on traffic to enable traffic to be diverted in advance of road works at the junction of A289 with A2/M2 interchange  

A289 Wainscott By-Pass - to be closed to all vehicular traffic between the junction with A226 Gravesend Road and the junction with A2/M2 on slip road. An alternative route will be provided and signed.

This order will come into force on Monday, 5 May 2025 and will be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the A289/A2 junction works have been completed, whichever is the sooner. These night works are due to commence on or after Monday, 5 May 2025 and are programmed for completion within two weeks (with the closure in place Monday to Friday nights only between 8pm and 6am each night). The order will be effective only when the appropriate signs are being displayed.
