What is happening?

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 CANTERBURY AREA

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(VARIOUS ROADS, CANTERBURY)
(SPEED LIMITS) (CONSOLIDTAION) ORDER 2023
(AMENDMENT No.18) ORDER 2025

Notice is given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL hereby propose to make the above named Order under sections under Sections 81, 82, 84 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:

The effect of the Order will be to change the existing speed limit to a 30MPH speed limit on the following length of road in Upstreet, Canterbury:

GROVE FERRY HILL & GROVE FERRY ROAD – From its junction with Island Road for a distance of 660 metres in a south easterly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.16A) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

Due to an error in the description of proposed restrictions in Amendment 16 we are reconsulting on the sections that had been missed or incorrectly described on the following length of road.

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines on the following length of roads in Maidstone:- ASH GROVE – DLY - (1) On the north side to a point 38 metres northwest and to a point 15 metres southeast of its junction with Conway Road. (2) On the south side from the existing double yellow lines at the junction with Maxwell Drive extended them by 22 metres in a south easterly direction.

(AMENDMENT No.19) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is given that The Kent County Council, acting as the Local Traffic Authority, in exercise of its powers and under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposes to make the following order:-

The effect of the Order is to place double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of roads in Maidstone:-

BEVERLEY ROAD – DYL – (1) On the east side of its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 12.5 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On the west side of its junction with Heath Road for a distance of 14 metres in a southerly direction. HEATH ROAD – DYL – On both sides to a point 10 metres west and to a point 10 metres east of its junction with Beverley Road. HALFPENNY CLOSE – DYL – (1) On the east side of its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 15 metres in a northerly direction. (2) On the west side of its junction with Tonbridge Road for a distance of 13.5 metres in a northerly direction. TONBRIDGE ROAD – DYL – (1) On the east side from its junction with Halfpenny Close for a distance of 76.5 metres in a north easterly direction. (2) On the west side from its junction with Halfpenny Close for a distance of 10 metres in a south westerly direction.

(VARIOUS ROADS, SWALE) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2024

(AMENDMENT No.15) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that the Kent County Council hereby proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 35, 36, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004, and all other enabling powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.

The effect of the Order is to introduce no waiting at any time double yellow lines (DYL) on the following length of road in Sittingbourne, Swale:-

CROWN QUAY LANE – DYL – (1) On the east side from a point 18 metres north of its roundabout junction with Eurolink Way from for a distance of 28 metres in a northerly direction then between points 55 and 80 metres, between points 101 and 175 metres, between points 185 meters and 202 metres, between points 230 and 241 metres, between points 246 and 305 metres, between points 310 and 360 and then between points 377 and 392 metres. (2) On the west side from a point 185 metres from its junction with Seddingbourne Way extend the existing line for a distance of 27 metres in a northerly direction then between points 31 and 51 metres and then between points 78 and 86 metres.

(AMENDMENT No.2) ORDER 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

NOTICE is hereby given that the Kent County Council acting as the Local Traffic Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 19, 32, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and all other powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to said Act, proposes to make the following Order:

The effect of the named Order will introduce Double Yellow Lines waiting restrictions (in this part of the notice DYL means double yellow lines) – no waiting at any time on the following length of roads in Woulham, Tonbridge & Malling:-

STEPHENSON LANE – DYL – (1) On the south side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 13.5 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the north side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 11.5 metres in a westerly direction. KEEPERS COTTAGE LANE – DYL – (1) On the north side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 11 metres in a westerly direction. (2) On the south side of its junction with Worrall Drive for a distance of 14 metres in a westerly direction. WORRALL DRIVE – DYL – (1) On both sides of its junction with Stephenson Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and for a distance of 24 metres in a southerly direction. (2) On both sides of its junction with Keepers Cottage Lane for a distance of 10 metres in a northerly direction and for a distance of 10 metres in a southerly direction.
