Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under S81, 82(1) & (2)(b), 83(2), 84(1)(a) and (2), and Parts IV and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the Order:
To Implement: a ‘30mph Speed Limit’ (currently a 40mph Speed Limit)

‘The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Elmstead Market) (Restricted Roads & 40 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2019’ is hereby revoked in its entirety. All restrictions shall continue in force by virtue of this new Order.
Notice is also hereby given that: Under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), Essex County Council proposes to establish a Toucan Crossing on the A133 Clacton Road, Elmstead, in the District of Tendring located as follows.
To Implement: a ‘Toucan Crossing’.

Under Section 65 of the Highways Act 1980, Essex County Council proposes to establish a ‘Cycle Track’, on the A133 Clacton Road, Elmstead, in the District of Tendring located as follows.

(Brundells Road, Great Bromley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.
A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above length of road, for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
“The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 1st May 2025, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

(Grove Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Grove Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Kiltie Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165757472/FH – Anglian Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while hydrant defect repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Street, Langham in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Moor Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA003WF3J2H9Z – Openreach).

(Queens Head Road, Boxted/Boxted Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queens Head Road, Boxted/Boxted Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from the junction with The Causeway to the junction with Straight Road a distance of approximately 2150m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2373321/EP201EH2358164 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Rectory Road, Aldham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, Aldham in the City of Colchester from a point approximately 230m west then south west of its junction with Brook Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310782257 – Anglian Water).

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Roundbush Road, Birch in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 340m south east of its junction with Maldon Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03165749098/FH – Anglian Water).

(Shair Lane, Tendring/Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shair Lane, Tendring/Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Colchester Road to the junction with Weeley Road a distance of approximately 1155m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th May 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2377554 – Essex County Council).

Effect of the order:
To temporarily close that length of Head Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Culver Street West for a distance of approximately 20m in a northerly direction.
To temporarily close that length of Culver Street West, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Head Street for a distance of approximately 30m in an easterly direction.
