Kendal, Temporary Road Closures Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (U5339, LEASGILL AND CROSS STREET, KENDAL) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of the:

1. U5339, Leasgill, from its junction with the A6, extending in an easterly direction for approx. 90 metres.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U5339, C5072 and the A6.

Duration: From 12th May 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/13965)

2. Cross Street, Kendal, from its junction with Union Street, extending in an easterly direction to its junction with Burneside Road.

Alternative Route: via Burneside Road, Windermere Road and Union Street.

Duration: From 12th May 2025 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROW/13990)

The Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
