NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION
ACT 1984 – Pickmere Lane, Tabley Superior
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Pickmere Lane, Tabley Superior – for the full extent.
The alternative route will be via Pickmere Lane, Chester Street, Hall Lane, Manchester Road, Chester Road, Budworth Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable option.
This order will come into operation on Friday 18 April 2025 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the works to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 29 August 2025.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USERS
Restricted Byway No. 4 Parish of Tabley Superior and Restricted Byway No. 12 in the Parish of Mere
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by sub-section 15 (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order being extended and continuing in force until 30 April 2031. The effect of the order will be to temporarily restrict users on the following:
Length of Restricted Byway No. 4 Tabley Superior which extends across a grid reference (SJ 6987 7093 8051 and runs in a generally northerly direction for approx. 56m to its junction with Restricted Byway No. 2 Wider at (SJ 6987 7095 8065.
Restricted Byway No. 2 Mere which commences at its junction with Restricted Byway No. 4 Tabley Superior at (SJ 6987 7095 8065 and runs in a generally northerly direction for approx. 56m to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 15 Mere at (SJ 7097 8104.
The closures are required to protect users from danger to the public due to a damaged footbridge which crosses the M6 motorway.
