What is happening?

(Aylesbury Drive, Holland on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Aylesbury Drive, Holland on Sea in the District of Tendring from a point approximately 50m south west of its junction with Fleetwood Avenue for a distance of approximately 20m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th May 2025 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT00110265251 – Affinity Water).

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while service pipe repair works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Aylesbury Drive, Fleetwood Avenue, Briarwood Avenue, Park Boulevard and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Rectory Road, St. Osyth)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Road, St. Osyth in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Honeypot Lane for a distance of approximately 80m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC0080GEA90922813SB – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while overhead cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.

An alternative route is available via Rectory Road, Heath Road, Clay Lane, Bypass Road, Clacton Road, St Johns Road, St Johns Roundabout, London Road B1441, Montana Roundabout, London Road, The Street, Weeley Road, Clacton Road, Rectory Road and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Slade Road, Holland on Sea)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Slade Road, Holland on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Hillside Crescent to its junction with Windermere Road a distance of approximately 105m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2381273 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repairs and kerbing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Windermere Road, Brentwood Road, Hillside Crescent and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 1st May 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Various Roads, District of Tendring)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) & (Thomas Road Link Road, Clacton on Sea) (Temporary Suspension of One Way) (SW1) Order 2025

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

  1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the District of Tendring as specified in the Schedule.

  2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of the carriageway on the above lengths of road, for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works.

    Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

  3. To temporarily suspend the one way on Thomas Road Link Road from the junction with Melbourne Road to the junction with Thomas Road as detailed in

    ‘The Tendring District Council (Unnamed Road Linking Thomas Road and Melbourne Road, Clacton on Sea) (One Way Traffic) Order 1998’.

    “The Essex County Council (Tendring District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

    The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 1st May 2025, exact dates will be specified on One.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

    (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

    Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

    Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Burrs Road, Clacton on Sea in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Meadow Close to its junction with The Greenway a distance of approximately 160m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th May 2025 for 14 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001407384 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.

    An alternative route is available via Gorse Lane, Thorpe Road, North Road, St Johns Road, Valley Road and vice versa (with access only into Burrs Road).

    The Order came into effect on 17th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

    (Pork Lane, Great Holland/Thorpe Le Soken)

    (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2025

    Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

    Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Pork Lane, Great Holland/Thorpe Le Soken in the District of Tendring, from the junction with Main Road to the junction with Thorpe Road a distance of approximately 2365m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th May 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2378918 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway repair works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

    An alternative route is available via Thorpe Road, Holland Road, Kirby Road and vice versa.

    The Order came into effect on 17th April 2025 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
