What is happening?
HIGHWAYS
Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
MAIDSTONE AREAS
Blind Lane, Bredhurst, ME7 3JR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow fibre cable installation to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Blind Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 9th May 2025 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Forge Lane, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Boarley Lane, Sandling, ME14 3BU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow a new electric connection to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boarley Lane, Sandling, on or after 19th May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Thornedowne. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any northbound through traffic is via Boarley Lane, Sandling Lane, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Blue Bell Hill, A229 Kits Coty Slip Northbound Off, Rochester Road, A229 Kits Coty Slip Southbound On, A229 Blue Bell Hill, Chatham Road, Tyland Lane, Boarley Lane.
The alternative route for any southbound through traffic is via Tyland Lane, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Cobtree Roundabout, A229 Chatham Road, A229 Running Horse Roundabout, Sandling Lane, Boarley Lane.
Boyton Court Road, Sutton Valence (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Boyton Court Road, Sutton Valence, on or after 21st May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Heniker Lane to the Junction of East Sutton Road, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Sutton Road, Friday Street, Heniker Lane and vice versa.
East Street, Harrietsham, ME17 1HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage cleaning works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of East Street, Harrietsham, on or after 22nd May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junction of A20 Ashford Road and Stubble Hill Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A20 Ashford Road, Maidstone Road, High Street, Headcorn Road, Sandway Road and vice versa.
Green Hill, Otham, ME15 8RR (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Green Hill, Otham, on or after 21st May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Hendleys. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Otham Street, White Horse Lane, Honey Lane, Avery Lane, Back Street, Caring Road, Green Hill and vice versa.
Holly Farm Road, Otham, ME15 8RZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole testing works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Holly Farm Road, Otham, on or after 8th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the junction of Avery Lane, between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
Sandway Road & East Street, Harrietsham, ME17 1HT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on parts of Sandway Road & East Street, Harrietsham, on or after 20th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Stubble Hill Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via East Street, A20 Ashford Road, Chegworth Road, Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Sandway Road and vice versa.
Sheephurst Lane, Collier Street, TN12 9NZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Collier Street, on or after 20th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside property numbers 1 and 2. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sheephurst Lane, B2162 Claygate, B2162 Collier Street, Green Lane, Underlyn Lane, B2079 Maidstone Road, B2079 High Street, B2079 Church Green, B2079 West End, B2079 Goudhurst Road, Sheephurst Lane and vice versa.
Stilebridge Lane, Linton, ME17 4DE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow drainage improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stilebridge Lane, Linton, on or after 7th May 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Stilebridge Stableyard. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stilebridge Lane, Butt Green Lane, A229 Linton Hill, Stilebridge Lane and vice versa.
Warren Street, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Warren Street, Lenham, on or after 21st May 2025 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed 220m north of Bunker’s Hill Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Bunce Court Road, Otterden Road, Frith Road, Snoad Farm Road, Wyebanks Road, Slade Road, Warren Street and vice versa.
Woodside Green, Lenham (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Woodside Green, Lenham, on or after 20th May 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Collisters. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Woodside Green, Faversham Road, A20 Ashford Road, Eyhorne Street, Upper Street, Hollingbourne Hill, Ringlestone Road, Syndale Bottom Road, Endings Wood Road, Old Lenham Road, Ringlestone Road, Faversham Road, Woodside Green and vice versa.
