A4067 Mumbles Road, West Cross, Swansea Notice 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City and County of Swansea in pursuance of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) intend to make an Order.
In order for Swansea Council to undertake resurfacing works, it will be necessary to temporarily close the above-named road to vehicular traffic between the hours of 20:00pm and 02:00am.
The schedules that follow will be undertaken consecutively.
SCHEDULE
Schedule 1 - Temporary Road Closure
A4067 Mumbles Road, West Cross, Swansea
A4067 Mumbles Road from its junction with Fairwood Road in a southerly direction to its junction with Norton Avenue, approximately 550 metres (for 6 nights).
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Fairwood Road, Westcross Lane, Westcross Avenue and Norton Road, approximately 1.5 kilometres.
(Drawing No 4344) Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction
SCHEDULE 2 - Temporary Road Closure
A4067 Mumbles Road, West Cross, Swansea
A4067 Mumbles Road from its junction with Norton Road in a southerly direction for a distance of approximately 250 metres (for 2 nights).
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via Norton Road, Westcross Avenue, Westcross Lane, Southlands Drive, Slade Road, Newton Road, New Well Lane, Newton Road and the unaffected section of A4067 Mumbles Road approximately 4.3 Kilometres (Drawing No 4344A)
Similarly, this route will operate in the reverse direction
Access for emergency vehicles to be maintained at all times.
The maximum duration of the order is 18 months and it is anticipated the work will take 8 nights to complete effective from Tuesday 6th May 2025.
