Obex Road, Brent - Temporary Play Street Traffic Restrictions

LONDON BOROUGH OF BRENT

THE BRENT (PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) (PLAY STREETS) (NO. 1, 2016) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) ORDER 2025

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Brent propose to make the above-mentioned Order under sections 29, 31, and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

2. The general effect of the Order would be to further amend the Brent (Prohibition of Traffic) (Play Streets) (No. 1) Order 2016, so as to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in column 1 of the table in the Schedule to this Notice on the dates and times specified in columns 2 and 3 respectively of the table in the said Schedule in relation thereto.

3. Nothing in Article 2 of this Notice would apply in relation to:

   (a) a vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance purposes;

   (b) a vehicle being used in the service of a statutory undertaker in an emergency;

   (c) a vehicle needing to gain access to or leave any land or premises abutting thereon accessible only therefrom;

   (d) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a police community support officer in uniform.

4. A copy of the proposed Order, of the relevant Order of 2016 of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order and of a map which indicate the lengths of the roads to which the Order relates can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the end of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at Brent Customer Services, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ.

6. Persons desiring to make representations for or object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their representations or objections, and the grounds thereof, to Head of Healthy Streets and Parking, Healthy Streets and Parking Service, 6th Floor West Wing, Brent Civic Centre, Engineers Way, Wembley, Middlesex, HA9 0FJ, or via email to trafficorders@brent.gov.uk, quoting the reference TO/28/023/NP, no later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
