Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Due To Drainage & Highway Survey Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: U80331, Holmer Road Service Road, Hereford, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the U80331, Holmer Road Service Road, Hereford, from the junction with Mortimer Trading Centre to the south of B&Q access. Grid Ref: 350616/241700 to 350605/241227.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via A49 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to private drainage and highway survey works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 19th of May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 8 nights (2030hrs -0600hrs).
