The City of Manchester - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic for Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC143059660: The City of Manchester (Grange Park Road, Charlestown Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Grange Park Road. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Charlestown Road, Moston Lane, Victoria Avenue East, Colmore Drive, Hall Moss Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate Resurfacing Works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 1st May 2025 to 8th May 2025. The order shall come into operation on 1st May 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
ORDER NO. MCC143054299: The City of Manchester (Seaton Way , Hulme Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit pedestrian traffic on Seaton Way. The alternative routes for pedestrian traffic will be: St Bees Street, Denmark Road. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the excavation of Trial Holes. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 29th April 2025 to 2nd May 2025. The order shall come into operation on 29th April 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of six months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
