Northumberland, Temporary Road Closure Due To Mole Ploughing For Fibre Installation

What is happening?

NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -

SECTION 14(1) C327 PINKINGS CLEUGH JUNCTION TO BLENKINSOPP GREENHEAD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C327 Pinkings Cleugh Junction to Blenkinsopp, Greenhead from its junction with the A69 heading southwards for a distance of 2110 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 6th May 2025 until the 16th May 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 6th May 2025 until the 8th May 2025 between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th May 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the A69, C328 and vice-versa.

Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Viberoptix to carry out mole ploughing for the installation of poles and fibre cabling. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
