Durham, Temporary Road Closures Due To Carriageway Resurfacing Works

What is happening?

The County Council of Durham

(Pringle Place, Pringle Grove & Doric Place, New Brancepeth) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025

The Council proposes to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on the following lengths of road.

Pringle Place A 158 metre length from the C154 to Number 67; a 300 metre length between Numbers 41 to 79 and a 22 metre length between Numbers 28 to 32

Pringle Grove A 115 metre length between Numbers 1 to 8

Doric Place A 60 metre length between Numbers 12 to 19 to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken. An alternative route will be available via C154 Ushaw Moor Road and C18 Alum Waters Road and vice versa (this will not signed to vehicular traffic). The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 10/5/2025 and anticipated to be completed in 9 days (between 9am-3pm). On occasions, alternative dates for the closure may be necessary and these will be signed on site accordingly.
