What is happening?

THE TONBRIDGE AND MALLING BOROUGH COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2025 No.1


Notice is hereby given that Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council has made the above Order under Sections 32 and 35 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be as per the Council’s existing Off-Street Parking Places Order, save for the following changes which come into effect on 12th May 2025;


Part 1 – New Parking Charges


a) Larkfield - Martin Square car park
The Council is proposing the introduction of parking charges as follows;
• Free parking for up to 1 hour (must display a valid ticket)
• A new charge of £2.00 for parking up to 2 hours
• A new charge of £2.90 for parking up to 3 hours
• A new charge of £3.80 for parking up to 4 hours
• A new charge of £5.80 for parking up to 23 consecutive hours
• A new charge of £10 for a 1 month season ticket
• A new charge of £120 for a 12 month season ticket
A copy of the Order and a statement of reasons for making the Order may be
inspected during normal working hours at the offices of Tonbridge and Malling Council Offices, Kings Hill, West Malling.


The Order may also be viewed on www.tmbc.gov.uk/parkingorders


Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulations 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order is made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
