THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(TRAFFIC REGULATION: RESTRICTIONS ON WAITING, LOADING AND UNLOADING, STOPPING AND PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO. _) ORDER 202_ - TRO/24/05

The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended to introduce a scheme of controlled parking that will: (a) introduce a new controlled parking zone (Zone E1) that will operate from 08:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Sunday inclusive. Some restrictions will operate for longer periods and some will operate 24 hours of the day (e.g. disabled bays, double yellow lines). Specific details are shown in the proposed map tiles. The affected roads are listed in Schedule 1; (b) introduce permit parking places, shared-use parking places, pay-and-display parking places and garage services permit bays; (c) introduce, amend or remove disabled persons parking places; (d) remove existing limited waiting bays and replace with pay-and-display parking bays that will operate during additional time periods. Specific details are shown in the proposed map tiles; (e) introduce, amend or remove waiting restrictions and/or loading prohibitions, including amendments to their operational hours; (f) introduce Permit Parking Areas in the streets listed in Schedule 2; (g) introduce additional permit eligibility for residents in specified permit parking areas; (h) introduce permits for residents, visitors, garage service users, retailers, businesses; (i) introduce charges associated with the new zone in respect of pay and display parking and permits for residents, visitors, businesses, retailers and garage service businesses. Charges are as set out in Schedule 3. Refund rates are as set out in Schedule 4.
