Shaw Street, Bury - Temporary Road Closure due to Gas Works

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF BURY

(SHAW STREET, BURY)

TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Metropolitan Borough of Bury intend in not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicles from proceeding along:-

Shaw Street, Bury – Between Deal Street & Rowan Drive.

The reason for the proposed order is to facilitate gas works.

The alternative route will be Willow Street, Bell Lane, Deal Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 14/05/2025 and shall remain in force for a period of up to 18 months, although the anticipated duration of the works is approximately 3 weeks.
