What is happening?

Temporary Traffic Management Order of C2, Horton

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8th May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 10th May 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order is as follows:

[1] To impose a temporary road closure on C2, Horton as indicated by signs on site.

[2] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along C2, Horton.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

Dorset Council Traffic Management Scheme, Burt’s Hill, Wimborne 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of Dorset proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

The general effect of the Order will be to:

• Revoke the school keep clear entrance markings on Burt’s Hill, Wimborne, outside Wimborne First School.

• Add a length of No Waiting at any time restrictions on the northern side of Burt’s Hill, to the east of the proposed Zebra Crossing

As part of the traffic management scheme, Dorset Council in exercise of powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to:

• Install a new Zebra crossing along Burt’s Hill, Wimborne near its junction with Deans Grove

Objections must be received by 17th May 2025.

Any objections must be made in writing, quoting the reference shown above and must state the grounds on which they are made.
