Temporary Traffic Management Order of South Street (Part), Dorchester

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 2 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months.

The effect of the Order is to allow Jordan & Faber, safe access to carry out works to properties damaged by fire incident.

The effect of this Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on South Street, Dorchester from its junction with New Street for a distance of approximately 55 metres in a southerly direction.

[2] To revoke the one way on New Street for its entirety to allow for access and egress for South Street.

Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Dorchester - Night Works

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 30 April 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 May 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Weymouth Avenue between Cheriton Care Home and its junction with Great Western Road

[2] To impose temporary road closure on Maumbury Road between no. 18 and its junction with Weymouth Avenue

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Traffic Management Order Of West Stafford Road, West Stafford

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 15 May 2025 between 0900 and 1600 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 May 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out essential highway maintenance works.

The effect of the Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on West Stafford Road, between its junction with West Stafford Bypass and its junction with Barton Close.

[2] To impose temporary clearway on West Stafford Road, between its junction with West Stafford Bypass and its junction with Barton Close, to prevent vehicles stopping along the section associated with the works.

Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the Council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section.

Temporary Closure of Unnamed Road, Dewlish

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 6 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 28th May 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Unnamed Road, Dewlish from the junction with Mill House to the junction with Church Street, a distance of approximately 1590 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section. The public will be notified of the forthcoming works by the road being marked by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed to give warning that a road ahead is closed.

[2] To impose a clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Unnamed Road, Dewlish while the works are being carried out. Please note that any vehicle waiting in contravention of temporary parking restrictions may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 1 June 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 23 June 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on Puddletown Road, Wareham from the junction of Tout Hill to the junction with A352 Worgret Hill (in both directions), a distance of approximately 6940 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed section. Please note the closure will be in place on the road and the works will be staggered across the entire length. Signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

[2] To impose waiting and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Puddletown Road, Wareham from the junction with Tout Hill to the junction with A352 Worgret Hill (in both directions), a distance of approximately 6940 metres. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure of B3143, Pulham

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 8 July 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31st July 2025.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.

The effect of the Order will be:

[1] To impose temporary road closure on B3143, Pulham from a point 110 metres northeast of Little Woodford Road to the junction with C20 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2470 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Please note the closure will be staggered across the entire length of the road and the works will be phased.

Advance warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

[2] To impose waiting and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along B3143, Pulham from a point 110 metres northeast of Little Woodford Road to the junction with C20 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2470 metres. Temporary Closure of Cattistock Road, Maiden Newton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along CATTISTOCK ROAD, MAIDEN NEWTON between Quarry Cottage and a point approximately 165 metres north. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 14 May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 13 June 2025.

This Order will enable BCL Groundworks, safe access to install foul sewer and new water main.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using: West End - Charity Bottom - A37 - Norden Lane.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath S21/15 Frampton and S29/15 Maiden Newton

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Public Footpaths S21/15 and S29/15, Frampton and Maiden Newton as shown on the map as running from grid reference SY 621 948 to grid reference SY 614 965, a distance of approximately 1240 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.

It will come into operation on 02 June 2025 for a period of 26 weeks, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 22 June 2025. It can be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.

This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out refurbishment of the Hydeland Mill footbridge.

The footpath will be closed:

From grid reference SY 621 948 heading north-west along the footpath S21/15/1 at Notton, a distance of approximately 1680 metres.

Head north and then east joining the footpath S29/15/1 at Maiden Newton and continuing along Long Lane (a distance of approximately 140 metres) until reaching the end point at grid reference SY 614 965.
