Wiltshire, Temporary Road Closures Due To Various Works

What is happening?

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all users:

A: Middle Street (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with Ventryde Way to its junction with Lower Street to enable operators to carry out replacement of telecommunication plant and associated works. Alternative route via Lower Street - Hulse Road – London Road – St. Marks Avenue – Middle Street (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, for 1 day. Further information please contact Openreach on 07971 146211.

B: Dinton Road, Wylye, from its junction with Berhams Lane to outside the National Land Use to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) – A303 – B3083 – C317 – C64 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. C: C329 (Part), Grimstead and West Dean, from its junction with The Street to its junction with Court Hill to enable Openreach to carry out pole test. Alternative route via C329 (unaffected length) – C321 – C336 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. D: Furzley Road – Green Drove – Long Drove and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 17:00 until 23 May 2025. For further information please contact Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0100.

E: Duck Lane (Part), Laverstock, from its junction with Duck Down to a distance of approximately 20m in a southerly direction to enable SGN to carry out gas main replacement and associated works. Alternative route via Duck Lane (unaffected length) – The Avenue – Riverside Road – Duck Lane and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required until 23 May 2025. For further information please contact F P Utilities on 07477 656141.

F: A30 (Part), Charlton, from its junction with A338 to its junction with a point approximately 800m in a westerly direction to enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out survey and associated works. Alternative route via Short Street (unaffected part) – Monxton – C276 – B3084 – A338 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all users:

G: Mill Lane, Westbury, from its junction with B3098 Station Road to outside No. 2 to enable Openreach to carry out pole test and associated works. Alternative route via B3098 Station Road – Mill Road – Rampart Road – Leigh Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 for 1 day. H: A36 (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with St Thomas Way to its junction with Harpitt Road A30 to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated works. Alternative route via A36 – A3094 – A338 – A354 – A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 on 29 April 2025. I: Roman Road (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with Laverstock Road to its junction with St Judes Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway micro asphalt and associated works. Alternative route via St Judes Close – Riverside Road – Duck Lane – Laverstock Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:30 and 18:00 until 23 May 2025. J: A30 (Part), Fovant, from a point approximately 450m west of its junction with C277 – Brook Street for a distance of approximately 800m in a westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out surface dressing and associated works. Alternative route via A30 – A350 – A303 – A36 – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 2 days. K: A30 (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with St Thomas Way to its junction with Harpitt Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out surface dressing and associated works. Alternative route via A30 – A338 – A354 – A36 – A3094 – A30 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 2 days. L: Roman Road (Part), Salisbury, from its junction with Laverstock Road to its junction with St Judes Close to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out surface dressing and associated works. Alternative route via St Judes Close – Riverside Road – Duck Lane – Laverstock Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 May 2025 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 19:00 for 2 days. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users:

Restricted Byway 22 (Part), Tilshead, from its junction with A360 for a distance of approximately 175m in a north easterly direction to enable sewer relining and manhole repair to prevent infiltration – Alternative route via Restricted Byway 22, Tilshead (unaffected length) – Byway 22, Tilshead – Imber Place – Candown Road – A360 and vice versa.

The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 28 April 2025, and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 16 May 2025. Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 6 months. For further information please contact:
