Reading, Temporary Road Closures & Restrictions Due To Maintenance & Repair Works
What is happening?
READING BOROUGH COUNCIL
(BURGHFIELD RD) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
Reading Borough Council has made an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily close Burghfield Rd from its junction with Underwood Rd to the railway bridge for a length of 320 meters. The Order will come into force from 28 April - 3 May 2025 between 22:00 - 06:00 hours. Should the works take longer than expected the restriction will remain in force for up to 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The Order is necessary to facilitate works to repair the bricks and coping stones. A signed diversion route will be in place throughout.
(OXFORD ROAD)
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2025
Reading Borough Council has made an Order in accordance with section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of which will be to temporarily suspend all parking restrictions and introduce no waiting, loading or unloading parking restriction on Oxford Road between Howard Street and Zinzan Street. The Order will come into force from 28 April - 12 May 2025. Should the works take longer than expected the order will remain in force for up to 18 months or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier. The Order is necessary to carry out highways and drainage maintenance.
