Orange Grove (D99) Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Orange Grove (D99) Guildford which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “13 Littleton Lane” to the southwestern property access road to “Annexe Orange Grove”.

Alternative Route – No diversion route available.

This Order is required to allow Road Traffic Management Ltd to carry out replacement of one decayed telegraph pole, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: –

1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford. 

2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Epsom Road (D4009) and Trodds Lane (D4009) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 

3. Suspend “ The Surrey County Council D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable Network Plus and/or Thames Water to exchange a boundary box and/or carry out leakage investigations and/or repairs and/or maintenance works in D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford adjacent to the “Horse and Groom Public House”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 6am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 7 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access to affected residences and businesses will be maintained at all times including access for emergency vehicles to such property.

Alternative route: – D4009 Trodds Lane, A25 Shere Road, A25 Epsom  Road, D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane.

Sidney Road (D3812), Alpine Road (D3813) and Churchfield Road (D3809) Walton-On-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this Notice. The Order is required to allow mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the lengths of road described in this Notice. 

This Order, which will commence on 05 May 2025 for a period of 12 months is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the said roads, to be carried out by or on behalf of SGN, including but not limited to: mains gas replacement works and/or any other associated works. In the Schedule to this notice the works in part

(a) are anticipated to be carried out over two weeks commencing on 05 May 2025, the works in part (b) are anticipated to be carried out over 7 weeks commencing on 12 May 2025, and the works in part (c) are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days commencing on 12 May 2025.All Works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works there will be no vehicular access through the works area’s and all vehicular traffic including residents and the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion routes. The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)

(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising

(a) that length of Sidney Road (D3812) Walton-On-Thames as extends from its junction with (A3050) Terrace Road to its junction with (D3809) Esher Avenue

Alternative Route – (1) A3050 Terrace Road; Cottimore Lane; and Stuart Avenue; and (2) A3050 Terrace Road; Church Street; High Street; Hersham Road; and Bowes Road.

(b) that length of Alpine Road (D3813) Walton-On-Thames as extends from its junction with (D3812) Sidney Road to its south-eastern junction with (D3813) Montague Close.

(c) that length of Churchfield Road (D3809) Walton-On-Thames as extends from its junction with (D3812) Sidney Road to its junction with (D3809) Esher Avenue.

Parsons Mead (D6935) East Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Parsons Mead (D6935) East Molesey which extends from the southeastern property boundary line of “13 Parsons Mead” to the southeastern property boundary line of “19 Parsons Mead”.

Alternative Route – Parsons Mead (D6935), Church Road (D6935), Palace Road (D6935) and Parsons Mead (D6935) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out electrical works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route including emergency vehicles and residents.

Hogs Back (A31) and Puttenham Hill (B3000) Puttenham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 11 April 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the slip road leading from the westbound carriageway of the Hogs Back (A31) Puttenham at Puttenham Hill (B3000) between its diverge with the main A31 carriageway and the entrance to Puttenham Hill House.

Alternative route – A31 westbound to the A331 (Black Water Valley) Interchange and return.

The Order is required to allow EE to facilitate utility works and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 10:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.

North Street (D3185) Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 11 April 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of North Street (D3185) Egham between points 14 meters and 25 metres north of its junction with Rusham Road (D3185).

Alternative Route – Clarence Street, Queens Road and Rusham Road, or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out water connection works and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 28 April 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

A308 Windsor Road, Egham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A308 Windsor Road, Egham; and (b) revoke “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Runnymede Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023” insofar as it relates Windsor Road only.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing/pre-patching works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 May 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

Alternative Route – A328 Priest Hill (Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead), A328 Priest Hill, A328 St Judes Road, A30 Egham Hill and A30 Egham By-Pass.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2025

On 23 April 2025 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Stanwell Moor Road (A3044) Stanwell
Temporary Traffic Management Order 2025

On 22 April 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along that length of that length of Stanwell Moor Road (A3044) Stanwell northbound between its junction with Park Road (B378) and its junction with Horton Road (C237); and (b) impose a 30mph speed limit on that length of Stanwell Moor Road (A3044) Stanwell as it extends from the Crooked Billet Roundabout (A30/A308) to the roundabout with the A3113.

Alternative Route – A30 (London Road, Staines Road, Great Southwest Road), A312 (The Parkway) and A4 (Bath Road, Colnbrook By-Pass).

The Order is required to allow Affinity Water and Thames Water to carry out water main repairs and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 1 month, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 5 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure and speed limit, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Foxhills Road (D3046) Ottershaw
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

On 22 April 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Foxhills Road (D3046) Ottershaw between Guildford Road Roundabout (A320) and the entrance to Foxhills Road car park.

Alternative Route – Foxhills Road, Stonehill Road, B386 (Holloway Hill) and A320 (Guildford Road), or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow Surrey County Council to carry out footway reconstruction and all associated works. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 7 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

On 22 April 2025, Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding along lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice.

The Order is required to allow Surrey County Council to carry out junction improvements and all associated works. These works are anticipated to be completed as soon possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 6 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing works and/or major maintenance works, which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

C243 Gresham Road, Staines-Upon-Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C243 Gresham Road, Staines-upon-Thames which extends from its junction with laleham Road to its junction with the eastern arm of Cherry Orchard.

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Markwick Lane (C32) Loxhill Godalming between the entrance to the property known as “Markwick Cottage” and the entrance to the property known as “1 Markwick Farm Cottages”.

Alternative Route – B2130 (Godalming Road, The Street, Hascombe Road, Brighton Road), Home Farm Road, Hambledon Road, Clock Barn Lane and Hydon Heath, or this route in reverse.

The Order is required to allow UKPN to facilitate a new electrical connection and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 4 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

Four Acres (D6858) Cobham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2025

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding the entire length of Four Acres (D6858) Cobham.

There is no alternative route for this closure.

The Order is required to allow UKPN to carry out underground service cables repairs and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8:00am and 6:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 19 May 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closures, which are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
