What is happening?
Road Traffic Regulation (Northern Ireland)
Order 1997 Notice of Proposed Special Event
Armagh City Banbridge and Craigavon Borough
Council as the relevant authority, has received
an application from the Tourism Events
and Animation Co-ordinator of Armagh City
Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council that it
wishes to hold Buskfest prize giving and concert
on Newry Street, Banbridge on 14 June 2025.
By virtue of the powers conferred on it by
Article 8A of and Schedule 3A to the Road Traffic
Regulation (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, the
Council gives notice that it is minded to make an
Order to temporarily restrict or prohibit traffic
from using the inner lanes from 85 – 87 Newry
Street (Boots Chemist) and 80 Newry Street
(Apache Pizza) to the Newry Road roundabout
from 6 am to 3.30 pm; full closure of Newry
Street and Bridge Street (underneath ‘The Cut’)
from 3.30 pm to 11pm on Saturday 14 June 2025.
A diversionary route will be signposted via
Gospel Lane, Rathfriland Street, Kenlis Street,
Scarva Street, Commercial Road, Downshire
Place, Banbridge.

of charge at Civic Building, Downshire Road,
Banbridge BT32 3JY or viewed online at
armaghbanbridgecraigavon.gov.uk
Persons wishing to make representations to
the Council regarding the proposal may make
representations in writing at the address below
by 5pm on 16 May 2025, representations received
after this time will not be considered.
