TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER/S –      

PUBLIC NOTICES OF MAKING      

         
NOTICE is hereby given that Shropshire Council (“The Council”) have made an Order/s under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 (as amended), the effect of which is to restrict the use of roads as stated below. The Order/s for regulation is/are required for the purpose/s as stated below. There are exemptions in the Order/s to permit pedestrian access (and/or vehicular access at the discretion of the Council or Statutory Undertaker) to any land or premises having a frontage to the said highway affected where there is no other form of access, and to any access allowing the necessary works to be undertaken. Access will be maintained for cyclists, pedestrians and dismounted horse riders unless stated below.  The alternative route/s for those affected by the proposal/s is/are as stated below.         
         
The Order/s came into force on 28 th April 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months (unless extended upon the direction of the Secretary of State) or until any said works are completed, whichever is earlier.  However, it is expected that the Order/s will only be operative for the duration as stated below.

Description of restriction: The one way order on Bell Lane, Ludlow will be suspended and the parking, loading and waiting will be suspended on Mill Street, Ludlow between Castle Street and Bell Lane
Date & Duration: 30th April 2025 for 7 days
Purpose: Ludlow Mayfair Bell Lane one way will be suspended so two way traffic can be accommodated. Parking on Mill Street (from Castle Street to Bell Lane) will be restricted.
Alternative Route : Not applicable


Description of restriction: The one way order will be rescinded to allow access on St Marys Place, Shrewsbury, waiting, loading and parking will be suspended opposite The Parade to Opposite No.5. Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, waiting, loading and parking will be suspended outside Library, Bellstone, Shrewsbury, waiting, loading and parking will be suspended outside No.1 to 3.
Date & Duration: 1st May 2025 for 5 days
Purpose: Shrewsbury Loopfest for safety and security. Specific traffic management as follows: * St. Mary's Place (outside the Yorkshire House PH) - road closed SAT 3and SUN 4-MAY for event safety. The one-way section from St. Mary's Place will be rescinded and made two-way for access to properties * Suspension of four parking bays on St. Mary's Place (from opposite The Parade shopping centre to the ticket machine opposite no.5) FRI 2-MAY 08:00 to MON 5-MAY 17:00 and reserved for event parking only * Suspension of parking bays on Castle Gates (outside Library) THURS 1-MAY 17:00 to MON 5-MAY 13:00 and reserved for event parking only * Suspension of parking bays on Bellstone o/s 1 to 3 FRI 2-MAY 08:00 to MON 5-MAY 13:00 and reserved for event parking only * Market Square - Managed closure (event vehicles only) SAT 3-MAY and SUN 4-MAY all

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from travelling at no more than 30mph on the A41 North and Southbound Whitchurch and Wrexham road East and Westbound as directed by signage
Date & Duration: 28th April 2025 for 33 days
Purpose: Speed Reduction - To provide safe access for transport of material and machinery - sewer development works.
Alternative Route : Not applicable


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from travelling at no more than 10mph on the A529, Lockleywood
Date & Duration: 28th April 2025 for 3 days
Purpose: Speed Reduction 10mph - New Water Connection

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using B4398, Station Road, Llanymynech
Date & Duration: 28th April 2025 for 10 days between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Cabling and jointing work.
Alternative Route : A483, B4396, B4398


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Benyon Street, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 30th April 2025 for 1 day
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, boundary box installation.
Alternative Route : North Street, New Park Road, Castle Foregate, Howard Street, The Dana, Victoria Street

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Berwick Avenue, Shrewsbury
Date & Duration: 28th April 2025 for 4 days
Purpose: Road Closure - Severn Trent Water, trial holes to confirm depth for other utility services ahead of new pipeline being installed.
Alternative Route : Round Hill Green, Coton Mount, Berwick Avenue


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Binweston Lane, Binweston
Date & Duration: 30th April 2025 for 2 days
Purpose: Road Closure-Severn Trent Water - Marker post install

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Burleydam Road, Ightfield
Date & Duration: 30th April 2025 for 8 days
Purpose: Road Closure - New customer connection.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Cemetery Road, Market Drayton
Date & Duration: 2nd May 2025 between 09:30 to 14:30
Purpose: Road Closure - Repair/replace manhole frame and cover.
Alternative Route : Longslow Road, Prospect Road, Cemetery Road


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Lion Lane, Cleobury Mortimer
Date & Duration: 28th April 2025 between 09:30 to 15:30
Purpose: Road Closure-Openreach-Road Closure required for safe pole testing.

Purpose: Drainage repairs

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Crosemere Road, English Frankton
Date & Duration: 2nd May 2025 and 6th May 2025 between 09:00 to 16:00
Purpose: Drainage works. The road closure will be in place on 2nd May and 6th May only.
Alternative Route : Unnamed road South West, A528, B4397, Unnamed road West towards English Frankton


Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using Unnamed road adjacent to the Ragleth Inn, Little Stretton
Date & Duration: 2nd May 2025 for 5 days between 09:30 to 16:00
Purpose: Renewal of road markings.

Description of restriction: Traffic will be prohibited from using A529 Market Drayton to Hinstock
Date & Duration: 2nd May 2025 for 6 days, 16th May 2025 for 6 days and 4th June 2025 for 4 days between 09:30 to 16:00 (weekdays) and 06:00 to 18:00 (weekends)
Purpose: Surface Dressing and associated works

Purpose: Road closure - National Grid, tree trimming works.
