Upper Chorlton Road - Temporary Road Closure For New Water Connection

What is happening?

Manchester City Council 

Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order 
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14 (As Amended)

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s): ORDER NO. MCC000142908632: The City of Manchester (Upper Chorlton Road, Whalley Range Ward) (Temporary Closure of Cycle Lane) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any pedal cycle (and any pedestrian) from proceeding at any time in the following length of cycle lane: Upper Chorlton Road. 

The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a new water connection. 

It is expected that the works will be in progress from the 28th April 2025 to the 30th April 2025. 

The order shall come into operation on the 28th April 2025and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. 

If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
