Domett Street - Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic For Crane Lifts

Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s) The City of Manchester (Domett Street, Harpurhey Ward) (Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit traffic on Domett Street from From Old Market street to Westgate Avenue.
The alternative routes for traffic will be: Old Market Street, Lion Street, Lawson Street, Domett Street.
The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate crane lifts.
The duration of the works that have been in progress from 23rd April 2025 (19th May to 23rd May) (4th August to 8th August) (8th September to 12th September 2025) has lengthened and therefore the Order will continue to 12th September 2025.
The order came into operation on the 23rd April 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
