What is happening?
Temporary Traffic Management Order Of Various Roads, Stalbridge
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 5th May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 21st July 2025 and 1st August 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway surface dressing works.
[1] To impose a temporary speed restriction of 10mph to facilitate the use of a convoy working vehicle along Various Roads, Stalbridge as listed and indicated by signs on site: [i] Blackmore Road, Stalbridge from the junction with Raleigh Road to the junction with Jarvis Way; [ii] A357 Thornhill Road, Stalbridge from junction with A357 Cooks Lane to junction with Waterlake.
[2] To impose clearway and parking suspension as indicated by signs on site to prevent waiting or parking on the highway along Various Roads, Stalbridge as listed and indicated by signs on site: [i] Blackmore Road, Stalbridge from the junction with Raleigh Road to the junction with Jarvis Way; [ii] A357 Thornhill Road, Stalbridge from junction with A357 Cooks Lane to junction with Waterlake. Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by this Notice may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

Temporary Closure Of Goathill Road, Goathill
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended.
The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 5th May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 14th July 2025 and 25th July 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out surface dressing works.
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Goathill Road, Goathill from a point 70 metres to the north of Goathill Farm to the junction with Haydon Hollow (in both directions), a distance of approximately 690 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

It will come into operation on 5th May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 13th May 2025 and 27th May 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
[1] To impose temporary road closure on Stoke Lane, Mappowder between Coniger Knap and The Green (in both directions), a distance of approximately 2430 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections. Please note the closures will be in operation, as and when indicated by signs on site. Advanced warning signs will be placed on the road two weeks advance of the closure to indicate the exact dates the closure will affect the roads.

The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5th May 2025 and will remain in force for 18 months, however, it is anticipated that the works will be completed between 8th May 2025 and 22nd
May 2025.
This Order will enable Dorset Council to carry out carriageway maintenance and resurfacing works.
[1] To impose temporary road closure onVarious Roads, Okeford Fitzpaine as listed: [i] C100, Okeford Fitzpaine from junction with Belchalwell Street to outside Higher Pleydells Farm; [ii] Shillingstone Lane, Okeford Fitzpaine from junction with Fitzpaine Avenue to junction with A357 (in both directions), a distance of approximately 1630 metres. A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.
