Notice of Temporary Footpath Closure

Benson, Footpath No.125/11/10

Date of Order: 21 April 2025

Coming into force: 29 April 2025

This Order is being introduced because of ongoing residential development works northeast of Benson. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath No.125/11/10 (from its northern extent at the Berrick Salome Parish Boundary, to the west of Port Hill Road, continuing for a distance of 275m south-eastwards) which is anticipated to take 6 months to be completed. The existing path will be resurfaced and reinstated when appropriate. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the Works.

The diversion runs parallel with the existing footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. The order will remain in force for 6 months or until the works are complete whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T15245/MR)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Nuffield & Nettlebed, Huntercombe End

Prohibition of Through Traffic

Date of Order: 22 April 2025

Coming into force: 28 April 2025

This Order is being introduced because of fibre cable excavation and installations which is anticipated to take 4 weeks to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in that part of Huntercombe End between Port Hill & near Digberry Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic will be signed locally. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.
