What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1)
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(HOUSE LANE, ARLESEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of House Lane, Arlesey outside number 82.
This temporary closure is required to enable water installation works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 16 May 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Stotfold Road, Church Lane, St Peters Avenue and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 May 2025 for a period of three months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(THORNCOTE ROAD, HATCH; THORNCOTE GREEN, HATCH AND THORNCOTE ROAD, NORTHILL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Thorncote Road, Hatch; Thorncote Green, Hatch and Thorncote Road, Northill between Bedford Road and Brook End.
This temporary closure is required to enable vac pot maintenance works to take place safely and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 12 to 13 May 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Thorncote Road, Ickwell Road, Northill Road, Caldecote Road, Ickwell Road, Vinegar Hill, Hatch Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 12 May 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING TANSY AVENUE, STOTFOLD WAITING RESTRICTIONS
On 15th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Stotfold:-
1. Tansy Avenue, southwest side, from the junction with the Stotfold Bypass/Norton Road Roundabout and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 94 metres, ending at a point in line with the south-east property boundary belonging to No. 1 Tansy Avenue.
2. Tansy Avenue, northeast side, from the junction with the Stotfold Bypass/Norton Road Roundabout and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 56 metres, ending at the junction with Willowherb Way.
3. Tansy Avenue, northeast side, from the junction with Willowherb Way and extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 35 metres, ending approximately midway across the frontage of No.14 Tansy Avenue.
4. Willowherb Way, both sides, from the junction with Tansy Avenue and extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 10 metres into the road.

On 15th April 2025 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:
To introduce Parking for Disabled Badge Holders only on the following lengths of road in Stotfold:-
1. V aughan Road, west side, starting approximately 1 metre from the northern edge of the dropped kerb outside No. 81 and No. 83 and extending in a north-easterly direction, covering an area approximately 6.6 metres in length and 2 metres in width. 2. Church Street, west side, from the junction with Tithe Farm Close, extending in a south-westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.
3. Tithe Farm Close, both sides, from the junction with Church Street, extending in a westerly direction for approximately 10 metres.

1. Access to Norton Road Service Road, north-west side, from the junction with Norton Road Service Road, extending in a northeasterly direction for approximately 23 metres.
2. Norton Road Service Road, north side, from the junction with Norton Road Service Road, extending in a south-easterly direction for approximately 66 metres.
3. Norton Road Service Road, north side, from the junction with Norton Road Service Road, extending in a north-westerly direction for approximately 31 metres.
4. Access to Norton Road Service Road, south-east side, from the junction with Norton Road Service Road, following the curvature of the kerb, extending in a north-easterly direction for approximately 28 metres.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Central Bedfordshire Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot along the following lengths of public footpath:
I. Footpath No 5, Northill which extends from Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR) TL 1653 4540 to OSGR TL 1536 4515
II. Footpath No 22, Northill which extends from OSGR TL 1583 4576 to OSGR TL 1597 4531
And proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the following lengths of public bridleway:
III. Bridleway No 6, Northill which extends from OSGR TL 1514 4540 to OSGR TL 1545 4484
IV. Bridleway No 14, Old Warden which extends from OSGR TL 1547 4483 to OSGR TL 1579 4417 and OSGR TL 1571 4415 to OSGR TL 1537 4381
V. Bridleway No 21, Old Warden which extends from OSGR TL 1658 4430 to OSGR TL 1571 4415
VI. Bridleway No 3, Southill which extends from OSGR TL 1537 4381 to OSGR TL 1488 4305
These temporary closures are required to enable the Shuttleworth Air Shows to take place in safety. The closures will be in force as follows:
Sunday 11th May 2025 - 1.45pm and 7pm
Saturday 31st May 2025 - 1.45pm and 8.30pm
Saturday 28th June 2025 - 1.45pm and 9pm
Sunday 29th June 2025 - 1.45pm and 9pm
Saturday 26th July 2025 - 1.45pm and 8.30pm Saturday 16th August 2025 - 5pm and 9.30pm
Saturday 30th August 2025 - 1.45pm and 8.30pm.
Sunday 5th October 2025 - 1.45pm and 7pm
There is no alternative route for footpath and bridleway users while the closure is in operation.
