Notice is hereby given that Derbyshire County Council proposes to make the above-named Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be, in respects of roads in Ashbourne, in the district of Derbyshire Dales, is as follows:
TO PROHIBIT WAITING AT ANY TIME BY VEHICLES - ON THE FOLLOWING LENGTHS OF ROAD:
Church Street
North side
From its junction with St John Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 70 metres.
South side
From its junction with Dig Street in a westerly direction for a distance of 25 metres.
Compton
South-west side
From a point 90.5 metres south-east of the junction of Dig Street and Church Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 58.5 metres.
East side
From a point 165 metres south of the junction of Dig Street and St John Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 3.5 metres.
Dig Street
South-west side
From its junction with Church Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 12.5 metres.
From a point 27.5 metres south-east of its junction with Church Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 30 metres.
North-east side
From its junction with St John Street in a south-easterly direction to its junction with the Access Road to Hood's Yard.
Market Place
North-east side
From its junction with St John Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 42.5 metres.
South-west side
From its junction with St John Street in a northerly direction to its junction with Union Street

East side
From a point 12.5 metres south of its junction with Church Street in a southerly direction for a distance of 24.5 metres.

From a point 39.0 metres east its junction with Church Street in an easterly direction to its junction with Market Place.
From its junction with Market Place in an easterly direction for a distance of 13.5 metres.

From its junction with Dig Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 18.5 metres.
From a point 34.5 metres east of its junction with Dig Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 36 metres.

To Introduce Blue Badge Holder Parking Places For 3 Hours (No Return Within 1 Hour) At Any Time - On The Following Lengths Of Road:

From a point 2 metres north of the northern kerbline of King Edward Street in a northerly direction for a distance of 15 metres.

To Introduce A Loading Only Bay To Operate At Any Time - On The Following Length(S) Of Road(S):

From a point 12.5 metres south-east of its junction with Church Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 14.5 metres.
From a point 57.5 metres south-east of its junction with Church Street in a south-easterly direction for a distance of 33 metres.

From a point 18.5 metres east of its junction with Dig Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 16 metres.
From a point 70.5 metres east of its junction with Dig Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 19.5 metres.
From a point 109.5 metres east of its junction with Dig Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 22 metres.
North side
From a point 30.5 metres east of its junction with Church Street in an easterly direction for a distance of 8.5 metres.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, have been revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council's principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock, at Ashbourne Library, Compton, Ashbourne DE6 1DA and at Ashbourne Historical Centre, Town Hall, Market Place, Ashbourne DE6 1ES during opening hours and on request by emailing place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk quoting reference Z3438, until 6 weeks after the Order is made.
All objections and other representations to the proposal must (a) be made in writing (b) state the grounds on which they are made (c) provide a name and address for contact purposes (d) be sent to the Executive Director - Place, Derbyshire County Council, County Hall, Matlock DE4 3AG (For Attention of Traffic and Safety Team quoting reference Z3438) or email place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk by Friday 16th May 2025.
