(LEEDS ROAD, GLASSHOUGHTON) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 94) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for plain line tamping to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leeds Road, Glasshoughton for 20 metres either side of the level crossing. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leeds Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: A639, A6539, B6421 & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 29th April 2025 between 00.01 hours and 05.45 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(REDHILL ROAD, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 96) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield has made an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement works to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Redhill Road, Castleford.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Redhill Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Queens Park Drive, Redhill Drive & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 28th April 2025 to 8th May 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(AIREDALE ROAD, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 103) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for a fault revisit within telecoms build to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Airedale Road, Castleford from junction of Fryston Road to opposite 2a Airedale Road. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Airedale Road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Fryston Road, Airedale Road & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th May 2025 between 08.00 hours to 18.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(ACCESS ROAD FROM HORSEFAIR, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 104) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for water disconnection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Access road from Horsefair, Pontefract. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Access road from Horsefair.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: No diversion, road plates will be on site to provide access.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th May 2025 to 15th May 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 105) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for new road extension to Onward Way leading into new Enterprise Zone to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Onward Way, South Kirkby for approximately 280 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at
their junctions the closed length of Onward Way, South Kirkby.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: N/A.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th May 2025 to 27th November 2025 or until completion of the work, whichever is soonest.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(WESLEY STREET, SOUTH ELMSALL)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 106) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to excavate & locate cable, joint new cable & reinstate excavations to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Wesley Street, South Elmsall for approximately 30 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Wesley Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Wesley Street, Barnsley Road, Burton Street & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 13th May 2025 to 19th May 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(ASHTON STREET, CASTLEFORD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 108) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to relay/replace paviours in hardened verge to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Ashton Street, Castleford, full length. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed
length of Ashton Street.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Residential diversion only via St Nicholas Street / back street & vice versa. 
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th May 2025 at 07.30 hours to 19th May 2025 at 15.30 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(SKINNER LANE, PONTEFRACT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 109) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for gas mains replacement to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract for approximately 23.17 metres. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their
junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Headlands Lane, Stuart Road, Park Road, De Lacy Way & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 10th May 2025 at 20.00 hours to 11th May 2025 at 06.00 hours, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 110) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds for foul water connection to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Skinner Lane, Pontefract.
The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Skinner Lane.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: De Lacy Way, Park Road, Stuart Road, Headlands Lane, Skinner Lane & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th May 2025 to 18th May 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
(LEYBROOK CROFT, HEMSWORTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER (NO 112) 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the City of Wakefield intend to make an Order on traffic management grounds to repair damaged connection in the carriageway to be carried out as follows:-
ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Leybrook Croft, Hemsworth, from outside number 2 to outside number 6. The Order shall also have the effect of closing any roads at their junctions the closed length of Leybrook Croft.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTES: Lowfield Crescent, Ringwood Way & vice versa.
PERIOD OF CLOSURE: From and including 12th May 2025 to 16th May 2025, or until completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
Access to the premises on the closed length of road will be maintained whenever possible.
