Cambridgeshire - Multiple Temporary Road Closures and Speed Restrictions due to Works

What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Huntingdon Road, Wyton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-594

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Huntingdon Road, Wyton as lies between Laughtons Lane & Green Lane. The alternative route for vehicles is via Splash Ln; A1123; St Ives Rd, Houghton; The Green & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate communication pipe repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/10/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs & 18:00hrs 1/5 May to 2/5/25.

Footpaths Church Meadow, St Neots Temporary Prohibition of Use – Order 2025-599

Is to stop any person from proceeding along Footpaths through Church Meadow, St Neots as lies between Church Meadows & Garden Court. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tree maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 9/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 8/11/25 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:15hrs & 15:45hrs 9/5/25.

Parkway, Little Paxton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-616

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Parkway, Little Paxton as lies between Park Drive and Park Avenue. The alternative route for vehicles is via Park Ave; Park Dr; Parkway and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7/5/25 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:30hrs and 17:00hrs 7/5/25.

Herne Road B1040, Ramsey St Marys Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-649

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Herne Road B1040, Ramsey St Marys as lies between number 340 & Daintree Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040; A605; B1093; B1096; B1040 & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 6/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 5/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 18:00hrs 6/5/25.

Hardwick Lane, Buckden Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-650

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hardwick Lane, Buckden as lies between number 9 & Hardwick Dene. The alternative route for vehicles is via Hardwick Ln; Taylors Ln; A1; vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate pothole repairs, verge repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 14:30hrs 5 to 7/5/25.

Broughton Road, Little Raveley Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-679

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broughton Road, Little Raveley as lies between Upwood & The Raveleys Footpath 13; Upwood & The Raveleys Footpath 14 respectively. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wennington Rd; Wennington Rd, Wennington; B1090; Ramsey Rd, Kings Ripton; Wistow Rd; Wistow Rd, Broughton; Little Raveley Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 19/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 18/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:00hrs & 17:00hrs 19/5 to 20/5/25.

Mill Road C112, Wistow Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-715

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Road C112, Wistow as lies between Mill Farm House & Kingston Way. The alternative route for vehicles is via Bridge St; Wistow Toll; B1040; Upwood Rd, Bury; Ramsey Rd; Ramsey Rd, Upwood; Huntingdon Rd; Upwood Rd, Great Raveley; Upwood Rd, Little Raveley; Broughton Rd; Little Raveley Rd, Broughton; Wistow Rd & vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas connection & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 13/5/25 & continue until these works have finished on the 12/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13/5 & 14/5/25.

Mill Green B1040, Warboys Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-717

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill Green B1040, Warboys as lies between Fenton Road B1040 & High Street B1040. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040; High St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 30/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 29/1/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs 30/5 to 30/8/2025.

Broughton Lane, Broughton Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-718

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Broughton Lane, Broughton as lies between A141 & Causeway Road. The alternative route for vehicles is via A141; Bridge Rd C111; Warboys Rd & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate damaged culvert fencing repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 4/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 3/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs & 16:00hrs 4/5 to 4/8/25.

Buckley Road, Eynesbury Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-729

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Buckley Road, Eynesbury as lies between Luke Street & B1043. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1043; Montagu St; Luke St & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate pothole repairs & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 5/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 4/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs & 14:30hrs 5/5/25.

New Long Drove, Holme Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-751

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Long Drove, Holme as lies between B660 & Holme Fen. The alternative route for vehicles is via Holme Fen; Hod Fen Drove; Yaxley Rd; B660 & vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway recycling & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 26/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 25/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 26/5 & 30/7/25.

Toll Bar Lane, Keyston Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-843

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Toll Bar Lane, Keyston as lies between Old Toll Bar & A14. The alternative route for vehicles is via A14; A14 J B660 Leave Including Two Way Section E, Huntingdonshire; B660; Brington Road, Catworth; Thrapston Rd Old Alignment, Catworth; Old Thrapston Rd, Molesworth; Huntingdon Rd, Bythorn; Thrapston Rd.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate A14 carriageway maintenance & associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway & it will come into operation on 1/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 31/10/26 whichever is the earlier.

Various Roads, West Division Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic & Temporary 40mph & 30mph Speed Limit – Order 2025-574

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedules 1 & 2. The alternative routes are shown in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate duct installation & associated works. The proposed Order will come into operation on 12/5/25 & will continue until these works have finished on the 11/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedules. The Order will only be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or are temporarily suspended.

Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic – Order 2025-728

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along various roads as set out in Schedule 1 below. Nothing in this Order shall prevent access & egress from premises or land adjacent to the highway mentioned in Schedule 1. The Order is necessary for safety reasons to facilitate drainage & associated works.

The proposed Order will come into operation on 7/5/25 & continue until these works have finished or on the 6/11/26 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that this order will apply to the locations, at various times during the dates specified in the Schedule.

The orders shall not apply to any person lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, members of the Police Force, Fire & Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties, or any person with the permission or under the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
