(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
(COCK HILL LANE, SHELF)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Cock Hill Lane from its junction with Cross Lane to Weavers Cottage for a distance of approximately 70 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Cross Lane, A644, West Street and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd May 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(HIGHAM AND DOB LANE, SOWERBY BRIDGE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Future Network Solutions have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Higham and Dob Lane from No. 5 to No. 2 for a distance of approximately 849 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access
is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained.
The alternative route is via Dob Lane, Well Head Lane, Back Rigging Lane, Mirey Lane, Steep Lane, and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 28th April 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 8:00 & 17:00.
(PEXWOOD ROAD, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Chevron Traffic Management have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Pexwood Road from its junction with Bacup Road to No.42 for a distance of approximately 375 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and
pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. Access will be maintained as and when required It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 29th April 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 8:00 & 17:00.
(STUBBING LANE, TRIANGLE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Stubbing Lane from its junction with Rochdale Road to Sandy Dyke Lane for a distance of approximately 120 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried
out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Rochdale Road, Oak Hill, Sandy Dyke Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 28th April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 30th April 2025. The Order will
be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(CENTRAL PARK, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Sunbelt Rentals Ltd have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Central Park from No. 20 to No. 23 for a distance of approximately 45 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained
at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route available. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 29th April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 1st May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 09:00 & 17:00.
(FOOTPATH TODMORDEN 189, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by CVCLT Enterprise Limited and Connect Housing Association Limited have made an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall proceed in the length of Footpath Todmorden 189 from its junction with Windsor Road to Ferney Lee Road for a distance of approximately 148 metres.
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to persons carrying out works on or near the footpath. The alternative route is via Harehill Street, Burnley Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 29th April 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 31st July 2026. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(LIGHTCLIFFE ROAD, BRIGHOUSE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Lightcliffe Road from its junction with Waterloo Road to Back New Street for a distance of approximately 10 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via Waterloo Road, Garden Road, Lightcliffe Road and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 19:00 & 06:00.
(UPPER LANE, NORTHOWRAM)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Upper Lane from No. 149 to Little London Farm Track for a distance of approximately 280 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and
pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Howes Lane, Brow Lane, Cave Hill and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 16th May 2025. The Order will be in
operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(PARK LANE, SOWOOD)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Future Network Solutions intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Park Lane from Thorn Hill to Greenfield Close for a distance of approximately 125 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is
maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Park Lane, Forest Hill Road, New Road, Sowood Hill, Clay Pit Lane, Green Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 12th May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the
hours of 08:00 & 17:00.
(STANSFIELD MILL LANE, TRANGLE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Spectrum Comms Solutions Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Stansfield Mill Lane from its junction with Rochdale Road to Rough Hey Wood for a distance of approximately 290 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works
being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. No alternative route – access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed
sooner and the road re-opened on 14th May 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(BANKS END ROAD, ELLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Rapid Response Telecoms intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Banks End Road from No. 9A to No. 18 for a distance of approximately 60 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is
maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained.
No alternative route available – access will be maintained for residents. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 13th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 15th May 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(WOOD BOTTOM LANE, BRIGHOUSE)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Wood Bottom Lane from its junction with Half House Lane for a distance of approximately 50 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend
to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via Half House Lane, Halifax Road, Mill Hill Lane, unaffected part of Wood Bottom Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 13th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 13th May 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 08:00 & 17:00.
(HOLLIN LANE, NORLAND)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Yorkshire Water intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Hollin Lane outside Hob Cottage for a distance of approximately 20 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained
at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Hollin Lane, Hob Lane and vice versa. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 14th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 16th May 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(TODMORDEN FOOTPATH 108, TODMORDEN)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has given a direction under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act that the Borough Council of Calderdale (Todmorden Footpath 108 Todmorden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2022 (the “Order”) shall continue in force for a further period from the date it would have otherwise expired. The Order was made on 2 November 2022 for safety reasons (a footpath). It came
into force on 14 November 2022 and its effect is that no person shall proceed in the length of Todmorden Footpath 108 from outside Railway Cottage across the Network Rail Laybotham Level Crossing for approximately 37 metres in a north easterly direction. Had the direction not been given, the Order would have expired on 14 May 2025 It will now remain in force until either 14 May 2027 or the completion of the works, whichever is the sooner.
The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period. The prohibition does not extend to persons carrying out works on or near the footpath. The alternative route is via Rochdale Road, Dean Royd Road, Rochdale Towpath and vice versa.
(CROSS HILLS, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK Traffic Management Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Cross Hills from junctions with North Parade/Northgate/North Bridge Street/Cross Hills to North Bridge for a distance of approximately 100 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point.
For alternative route follow diversion on site – resident access will be maintained when works allow. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 20:00 & 05:00.
(WINDING ROAD, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Roadway UK Traffic Management Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Winding Road from junctions with North Parade/Northgate/Broad Street for a distance of approximately 150 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. For alternative route follow diversion on site – resident access will be maintained when works allow. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 2nd July 2025. The Order will be in operation daily during this period between the hours of 20:00 & 05:00.
(QUEENS GATE, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Telent Technology Services Ltd intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Queens Gate from its junction with Free School Lane to Heatherstones for a distance of approximately 791 metres. PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via unaffected part of Queens Gate, Manor Heath Road, Savile Park Road, Free School Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 15th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum
18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 17th May 2025. The Order will be in operation 24 hours daily during this period.
(WATER LANE, HALIFAX)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Calderdale Council because of works by Northern Gas Networks intend to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the length of Water Lane from its junction with Shay Syke to Carr House for a distance of approximately 160 metres. PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with works being carried out and pedestrian access is maintained at all times and vehicular access for the emergency services is maintained to closure point. The alternative route is via South Parade, Church Street, Square Road, Alfred Street East, Church Street, Berry Lane, Bailey Hall Road, Swan Bank Lane. It is proposed that the Order will come into operation on 12th May 2025 and remain in force for a maximum 18 months, notwithstanding that the works may be completed sooner and the road re-opened on 19th June 2025. The Order will be in
operation 24 hours daily during this period.
