Brighton, Temporary Traffic Changes Due To Children's Parade Event

What is happening?

BRIGHTON AND HOVE CITY COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDER

1. NOTICE is hereby given that Brighton & Hove City Council have on the 16 April 2025 made an Order pursuant to powers in Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended which has the following effect:

(a) Lift prohibition of no right-hand turn from King Place, Windsor Street and Portland Street.

(b) North Street - Revoke the bus lane restriction to allow access for all vehicles.

2. Temporarily Suspend one way traffic orders for Tichbourne Street & Regent Street.

3. The temporary road closure of Orange Row, as no access to North Road

4. The temporary closure of the Taxi Rank located on both sides of East Street.

5. The temporary suspension of the Bus Gate restrictions:

Marlborough Place junction of Gloucester Place St George's Place junction of York Place

6. The Order is necessary to allow Children's Parade event to take place.

7. This Order comes into force on 3 May 2025 from 8:30 to 13:00.
