What is happening?

BRIDGE ROAD AND TOWER STREET, STOCKTON
TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2025
Notice is hereby given that Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council made the above Order on 24th April 2025 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45 & Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
The Order, which will come into effect on 25th April 2025, will have the effect of introducing no waiting and no loading at any time restrictions, designated parking bays for Blue Badge Holders only and limited waiting restrictions to various lengths of Bridge Road and Tower Street, Stockton.
The Order, together with a map showing the affected roads, may be examined at the Stockton Customer Service Centre, Central Library, The Square, Stockton-on-Tees during normal office hours and on the Council’s website (Traffic Orders).
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the grounds that any requirement of the Act or of any Instrument made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the 24th April 2025 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
