Suffolk - Multiple Temporary Road Closures due to Infrastructure Works
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2427 NEWTON ROAD, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U2427 Newton Road, Ipswich from Foxhall Road for 20 metres southbound to facilitate sluice valve repairs. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Foxhall Road, Tomline Road, Upper Cavendish Street and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/04/2025 - 25/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C701 BURY ROAD, THORPE MORIEUX
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. C701 Bury Road, Thorpe Morieux from the junction with The Green for 140 metres north westbound
2. C701 Bury Road, Thorpe Morieux from Felsham Road to Clay Hall.
This is to facilitate overlaying a congested communications infrastructure and installing a chamber. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Cockfield Road, Church Road Felsham, Lower Green, Rattlesden Road, Felsham Road, Brettenham Road, High Town Green, Benton Lane, Church Road Brettenham, The Street, Bury Road, Chapel Hill and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/04/2025 - 27/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C561 NORTON ROAD, TOSTOCK
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C561 Norton Road, Tostock from the junction of the road near Ticehurst Farm for 90 metres northbound to facilitate excavation works to clear blockages. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the road near Ticehurst Farm, New Road, Church Road, The Green and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/04/2025 - 25/04/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8009 MOAT LANE, ROUGHAM
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8009 Moat Lane, Rougham from the junction with Almshouse Road to Moat Cottage to facilitate the installation of a fibre network. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Moat Lane, Kingshall Street, Rougham Road, Church Road, Bury Road, Linkwood Road, Eastlowe Hill, The Green and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/04/2025 - 13/05/2025 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C543 CEMETERY ROAD AND U5621 MONK SOHAM ROAD, BEDFIELD
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads:
? C543 Cemetery Road, Bedfield from Blacksmith Cottage for 40 metres northbound
? U5621 Monk Soham Road, Bedfield from the junction with Cemetery Road for 40 metres westbound.
This is to facilitate services to a new customer. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Long Green, Tannington Road, Worlingworth Road, Dennington Road, Dennington Road, Tannington Road, Chapel Road, the A1120, The Street, Low Road, Spring Road, Bedfield Road, School Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 02/05/2025 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C235 EASTON ROAD, KETTLEBURGH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C235 Easton Road, Kettleburgh from the junction with Mill Lane for 700 metres eastbound to facilitate a new service connection.
Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be The Street, Road from B1116 to C235, School Hill, Framlingham Road, the B1116, Easton Road, Dark Lane, Framlingham Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 02/05/2025 from 9.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).
