TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE –

STAPLE GARDENS & HIGH STREET, WINCHESTER

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council intends to make an order under S.14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to allow works to be carried out on or near the road.

ROADS TO BE CLOSED:

Staple Gardens between its junction with High Street and its junction with Tower Street.

High Street between its junction with Staple Gardens and its junction with Jewry Street.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

Jewry Street, City Road, Sussex Street.

DURATION OF ORDER:

From Monday 5th May 2025 for a period of 6 months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding, it is expected that the closure will be required for no longer than Tuesday 6th May 2025 and working between the hours 08:00–16:00).
