Grovehill Road, Beverley - Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
GROVEHILL ROAD, BEVERLEY (PART)
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any person from causing any vehicle to proceed along Grovehill Road, Beverley (between Grovehill Road car park access road to the junction of Grovehill Road and Trinity Grove).
The reason for the closure is to enable the proposed hydrant to be renewed to fire hydrant specification, to be carried out and completed in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated that the works will be completed within the same day.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order is via Armstrong Way, Grovehill Road, Swinemoor Lane, Swinemoor Lane Roundabout, Hull Bridge Road, Norwood, Mill Lane, Wilbert Lane and Trinity Lane, Beverley.
The road will be closed to all through traffic but remain open at all times to pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties directly affected by the closure and for emergency services.
The Order will commence 9 May 2025 and continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
