(VARIOUS ROADS, HARLESTONE FIRS, NORTHAMPTON)
(30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that West Northamptonshire Council have made an Order under Section 82,83, 84 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) to prohibit any motor vehicle from travelling at a speed exceeding 30mph along those lengths of roads as specified in the Schedule below.

A COPY of the Order may be inspected at Kier Highways, Brixworth Depot, Old Harborough Road, Brixworth, Northants, NN6 9BX at a time and date specified by appointment only by calling 01604 529700. A copy of the Order can also be obtained on request by emailing WNCParkingenquiries@kier.co.uk

If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six weeks from the date of this Notice apply to the High Court for this purpose. The Order will become effective on 28th April 2025.

SCHEDULE

1. A428 Harlestone Road, Harlestone Firs – From a point 19 metres north-west of its junction with Hawksmoor Way extending to a point 329 metres north-west of the York Way roundabout.

2. Sandy Lane (New), Harlestone Firs – From its junction with the A428 Harlestone Road/Sandy Lane roundabout extending 21 metres in a westerly direction.

3. York Way, Harlestone Firs – From its junction with the A428 Harlestone Road/Sandy Lane roundabout extending 46 metres in an easterly direction.

4. Lodge Way Northern Access, Harlestone Firs – From its junction with the A428 Harlestone Road extending 62 metres in a north westerly direction.

5. Whites Lane, Harlestone Firs – From its junction with the A428 Harlestone Road extending 21 metres in a south-westerly direction.
