TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2025

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby give notice that:

THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

BEESTON REGIS – 1) Holt Road from its junction with A148 Holt Road for 150m north eastwards to facilitate foot way reconstruction. The works are expected to take place between 29th April to 2nd May 2025, then again from 14th to 16th May 2025 and 21st and 22nd May between 800 and 1600.

2) Holt Road from A148 Holt Road for 130m south westwards to facilitate road widening and carriageway resurfacing works. Alternative route via: A148 Holt Road, A149 Cromer Road / Holt Road, A140 Cromer Road / Roughton Road / Church Street / Mundesley Road / Station Road / A149 High Street / Cromer Road / Hall Road, West Street / Holt Road (East Beckham, Beeston Regis, the works promoter is Norfolk County Council).

BODHAM – The Street from its junction with Holt Lane to its junction with Sheringham Road to facilitate critical pole replacement works between 0800 and 1800 on 28th April 2025 (may continue up until 6th June 2025). BODHAM – Kett’s Road from 190m west of its junction with New Road for 30m westwards to facilitate works for new water connection on 28th to 30th April 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025). Alternative route via: Red Barn Lane, Long Lane, Ings Lane, Sheringham Road, Holt Road, Cromer Road, Connors Road, Cedar Grove, Leeder Street, Bridge Road, High Village, Upper Sheringham, West Beckham, Bodham). BURGH CASTLE – Mill Road from its junction with Market Road for 100m northwards to facilitate ducting installation works on 28th to 29th April 2025 (may continue until 10th June 2025). Alternative route via: Mill Road, Butt Lane, Belton New Road, Stepshort, A143 Beccles Road, Church Road, Mill Road, Market Road (Burgh Castle, Belton, Bradwell).

2) Mill Road from 50m south west of its junction with Market Road to 100m southwards to facilitate pole testing and cutting between works 0900 and 1500 on 6th June 2025. CAWSTON – B1145 Holt Road from its junction with the B1145/4039 Holt Road Roundabout for 150m westwards to facilitate essential carriageway resurfacing and lining works from 13th to 17th May 2025.

CROMER – High Street from 10m east of its junction with Garden Street for 25m westwards to facilitate new gas connection works. The works are expected to be completed in two phases:

Phase 1 is between 0700 and 1900 from 30th April to 1st May.

Phase 2 is between 1900 and 0500 from 6th to 10th May.

Phase 3 is between 0900 and 1600 from 12th to 14th May.

Phase 4 is between 1900 and 0500 from 5th to 6th June.

CROMER – 1) Harbour Road from 10m west of its junction with Saddlebow Road for 25m westwards and 2) Saddlebow Road from 10m south of its junction with Harbour Road for 20m southwards to facilitate critical pole replacement works from 28th April to 7th May 2025.

Alternative route is via: Harbour Road, Runton Road, Station Road, Louden Road, Alfred Road, St. Swithin Road, Harbord Road. The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

DICKLEBURGH – The Street from its junction with Harvey Lane for 25m eastwards to facilitate a new water connection on 1st to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 13th June 2025). Alternative route via: A140 Ipswich Road, A143 Church Road, The Street (Dickleburgh and Rushall, Scole). The works promoter is Anglian Water.

FAKENHAM – Queen’s Road from its junction with Whitehorse Street for 15m westwards to facilitate new development works on 28th to 30th April 2025.

Alternative route is via: Queen’s Road, Oak Street, Bridge Street, Oliver Way, White Horse Street (Fakenham). The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

FAKENHAM – Oak Street from 10m east of its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with White Horse Street to facilitate works to allow the safe installation of the cycle lane infrastructure and carriageway widening works. The works will be completed in two phases between 0900 and 1700 on 30th April 2025.

FELTHORPE – 1) Felthorpe Restricted Byway 19 from its junction with Haverscroft Road for 112m southwards and

2) Horsford Restricted Byway 1 from its junction with Haverscroft Road for 121m southwards to facilitate construction works of park and wider cycle and highway improvement works from 30th April to 20th October 2025.

An alternative route will be constructed on site. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Waltham Road from its junction with Queen’s Crescent for 15m southwards to facilitate footway replacement and pedestrian crossing installation works from 28th to 30th May 2025 (may continue until 30th November 2025).

Alternative route is via: St Hugh’s Green, Somerville Avenue, Queen’s Crescent. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – Regent Street from its junction with Howard Street South for 65m southwards to Hallplain to resurface various works from 30th April to 1st May 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: Howard Street South, King Street, Regent Street, The Conge, North Quay. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

GREAT YARMOUTH – 1) South Market Road from its junction with Temple Road for 186m westwards and

2) Temple Road from its junction with Alexandra Road for 20m southwards and

3) Alexandra Road from its junction with Temple Road for 15m eastwards and

4) Trafalgar Road from its junction with Albion Road for 85m westwards and

5) Trafalgar Road from its junction with Albion Road for 65m eastwards and

6) Beevor Street from its junction with Admiralty Road for 65m southwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 28th to 30th April 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

Alternative route via: Queen’s Road, King Street, Nelson Road Central, Marine Parade, Euston Road, Admiralty Road (Great Yarmouth). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HORSHAM WITH ST FAITH/HELLINGHAM – Stanninghall Road for 210m northeast of its junction with Bell Road to facilitate pole replacement works from 28th to 29th April.

Alternative route is via: Stanninghall Road, Buxton Road, 1st Main Road, Church Lane, Norwich Road, Quay Road, The Street, Old Church Road, Stanninghall Road.

HETHERSETT – Unnamed road from its junction with Great Melton Road for 100m westwards to facilitate footway and drainage works from 5th to 7th May 2025.

Alternative route via: Great Melton Road, Colney Lane, Watton Road, Earlham Road, Newmarket Road, B1172 Norwich Road, Churchfields, Queen’s Road (Hethersett).

SOUTHWOOD – The Street for 120m from 225m northeast of its junction with The Street for 50m westwards to facilitate drainage survey works from 5th to 7th May 2025 (may continue until 13th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: The Street, A47 Trunk Road, Southwood Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

SEA PALLING – New Road from 10m north of its junction with Clink Lane for 100m northwards to facilitate drainage investigation works.

The works are expected to be carried out in two phases between:

Phase 1: 29th April to 2nd May 2025,

Phase 2: 3rd to 6th June 2025.

Alternative route is via: Church Road, Stalham Road, Old Norwich Road, New Road, Ingham Road, Waxham Road, Beach Road, Beach Road (Sea Palling).

SPOONER ROW – B1172 Norwich Road from its junction with Station Lane for 100m westwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 6th to 8th May 2025.

Alternative route is via: B1172 Harts Farm Road, Silfield Road, A11 Trunk Road, Station Lane (Wymondham, Spooner Row). The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

SWAFFHAM – Brandon Road from its junction with Buxton Road to its junction with Giles Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 30th April to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: Brandon Road, A1065 Brandon Road, A1065 Castle Acre Road, West Acre Road, Sporle Road, Redlands Road, Buxton Road, Arthur Road, Southend (Swaffham).

TAVERHAM – Sandy Lane from 40m north of its junction with Fir Lane for 20m northwards to facilitate urgent carriageway patching works from 30th April to 1st May 2025.

WRENINGHAM – Unnamed road from its junction with Wymondham Road to its junction with Top Row for 300m westwards to facilitate the upgrade of BT infrastructure from 29th April to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 13th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: Wymondham Road, Ashwellthorpe Road, The Street, Mill Lane, Wymondham Road, Low Road (Ashwellthorpe and Fundenhall, Wreningham).

THURTON – A146 Loddon Road from its junction with George Lane to 170m southwards to facilitate drainage works from 29th April to 2nd May 2025.

Alternative route is via: A146 Loddon Road, B1136 Yarmouth Road, B1136 The Street, Mundham Road, A143 Mill Road, A143 Bungay Road, A143 Yarmouth Road, A146 Loddon Road.

WACTON – The Street from its junction with Common Road for 20m southwards to facilitate new water connection works from 30th April to 2nd May 2025.

Alternative route is via: The Street, Church Road, Long Stratton Road, Hempnall Road, Mill Road (Wacton).

WEST WALTON – Unnamed road from its junction with Walton Road for 25m westwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works from 6th to 8th May 2025.

THORPE ST. ANDREW – Thorpe Avenue from its junction with A1042 Ring Road for 30m northwards to facilitate mains lining works from 28th to 30th April 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: A1042 Ring Road, Thunder Lane, Spinney Road.

There are none. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

THURSFORD – B1354 Holt Road from its junction with Brick Kiln Road to its junction with Snoring Road to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and surface dressing preparation works.

While this section is in use a five day notice will run from 1st June 2025.

The road will be closed from 2nd June to 6th June 2025.

WEST LYNN/KING’S LYNN – St Peter’s Road from its junction with St Peter’s Close and Edward Benefer Way to its junction with A148 London Road to facilitate footway resurfacing works from 28th April to 2nd May 2025.

Alternative route via: St Peter’s Road, Edward Benefer Way, Gaywood Road, Tennyson Avenue, A148 London Road.

WEST WINCH – A10 from 40m southeast of its junction with Setchey Lane to 40m northwest of its junction with A148 Saddlebow Road to facilitate junction improvement and traffic signal works from 28th April to 2nd May 2025.

Alternative route is via: A148 Saddlebow Road, Edward Benefer Way, Tennyson Avenue, Gaywood Road, Queen Mary Road, Columbia Way, Southgate Street, London Road, Wisbech Road (King’s Lynn, West Winch).

WITTON AND RIDLINGTON (NORTH WALSHAM) – The Street from 20m north of its junction with Old Lane for 170m northwards to facilitate the creation of a new carriageway access between 24th April to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 2nd November 2025).

COUXKR & POUNDING NORTON – B1146 Hempton Road from its junction with C235 Fakenham Road for 14m to its junction with C236 Fakenham Road to facilitate carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works from 28th to 2nd May 2025.

Alternative route is via: B1146 Hempton Road, B1146 Dereham Road to junction with C235 Fakenham Road (westbound only), and C235 Fakenham Road (northbound to B1146 Dereham Road to junction with A1065 to facilitate carriageway improvements on the main B1146 between the hours of 0730 to 1800 from 28th to 2nd May 2025.

CROMER – B1436 Holt Road from 35m west of its junction with Hall Road for 30m westwards to facilitate duct laying and new chamber installation works from 28th April to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 12th June 2025).

SWANTON MORLEY – Woodgate Lane from its junction with Church Road for 80m southeastwards to facilitate pole testing works between 0830 and 1530 on 28th April to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 12th June 2025).

WORLINGHAM – Lowestoft Road from 80m southeast of its junction with B1123 Marsh Lane for 100m southeastwards to facilitate pole safety testing between 0830 and 1530 on 28th April to 1st May 2025 (may continue until 12th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: Lowestoft Road, Ellough Road, London Road, B1123 Garden Lane, Beccles Road, Station Road, Woodlands, Poplar Road, Shadingfield Road, Barsham Road (Worlingham).

THETFORD – Cycle Path Between 3 and 5 Stanford Road To Tottington Close from its junction with Stanford Road for 15m north-eastwards to facilitate mains exchange works on 1st May 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: Stanford Road, Croxton Road, Richard Easten Road.

THETFORD – 1) Minstergate Lane to junction with Station Road to facilitate sewer replacement works.

The junction with Minstergate Street and Station Road will be closed, and the pavement works. The road will be temporarily closed and the road shall be subject to the suspension of the one-way system to allow for the safe passage of traffic between 28th April to 2nd May 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

Alternative route is via: Station Road, London Road, St Nicholas Street, Minstergate Lane.

THETFORD – College Heath Road southwards from 25m north of 2 College Heath Road for 25m southwards to facilitate sewer repair works between 28th to 30th April 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

Alternative route via: Kilverstone Road, Norwich Road, Hamond Road, Bungay Road, Augusta Road, Mary Lane, Barning Road, Topcroft Street (Rougham, Hepmnalhall).

The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WATTON – C121 Saham Road junction from B1108 High Street/Brandon Road for 25m north on the northwards and

C121 Saham Road from north of its junction with B1108 High Street/Brandon Road for 15m northwards and

C121 Saham Road from its junction with B1108 High Street/Brandon Road for 12m northeastwards and

C121 Saham Road from 130m north of its junction with B1108 High Street/Brandon Road for 125m northwards

and C121 Saham Road from 400m north of its junction with B1108 High Street/Brandon Road for 200m northwards to facilitate mains supply works.

The road is closed from 29th April to 1st May 2025 (may continue until 11th June 2025).

This road may be closed in sections on these dates and during the working days.

Alternative route is via: The Broadway, C122 Plough Lane, C119 Plough Lane, C118 North Road, C121 Fields Road, B1108 Brandon Road, B1108 Brandon Road (Watton, Saham Toney).

U33490 Deans Road from 28m north of its junction with B1108 High Street for 18m south of its junction with B1108 High Street to facilitate mains supply works.

The road will be temporarily closed.
