What is happening?

DICKLEBURGH AND RUSHALL – Mill Road from its junction with C352 Common Road for 120m southwards to facilitate patching works from 22nd to 23rd April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via Mill Road, Back Road, Cruck’s Road, Langmere Road, Norwich Lane, Friend’s Road, Harleston Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

HARLINGHAM – Hardwick Road for 30m both sides of its junction with B116 Hingham Road for 10m north-eastwards to facilitate pole replacement works between 23rd to 24th April 2025. Alternative route is via B1108 Watton Road, Norwich Road, Hingham Road, Norwich Road, Friend’s Road, The works promoter is UK Power Networks.

NEWMAN – C329 Laken Road from its junction with the A1065 Fakenham Road for 500m eastwards to facilitate carriageway patching works from 21st to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via C329 Laken Road, C283 Reed Lymn Road, Lexham Road, B1145 Lymn Road, A1065 Fakenham Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

LITTLE MELTON – C770 Burnthouse Lane from its junction with C770 Little Melton Road for 300m southwards to facilitate jetting works from 22nd to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via Little Melton Road, Hethersett Lane, Colney Lane and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

OLD BUCKENHAM – Abbey Road 100m south of its junction with Upple Street for 150m westwards to facilitate fibre network works and connection works (may continue until 3rd June 2025). Alternative route is via The Green Circle, New Buckenham Road, Castle Hill Road, King Street, Queen Street, Market Place, Church Road, The Turnpike, Upple Street and vice versa. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

SPOONER ROW/ PILGRIM’S GATE – C538 The Street from its junction with A47 for 170m northwards to facilitate works that are service related between 23rd to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 4th June 2025). Alternative route is via A47, C371 Church Road/Queen Street, B1172 Station Road/Lynch Green Road, C538 The Street and vice versa (Little Dunham, Necton, Sprow’s with Palgrave). The works promoter is BT.

WRETHAM WITH CROXHILL 1 – Brandon Road/Lynn Road/Park View from its junction with Hopton Hill to its junction with Brandon Road for 2.4km to facilitate carriageway patching and related activities between 21st to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via Brandon Road, Lynn Road, Park View and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WRETHAM WITH CROXHILL 2 – C770 Burnthouse Lane from its junction with Croxton Road for 500m northwards to facilitate drainage works from 22nd to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via Croxton Road, New Road, A1075 Thetford Road and vice versa. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

WYMONDHAM 1 – B1135 Chapel Lane from its junction with C790 Chapel Lane for 250m southwards to facilitate works related to telecoms from 22nd to 24th April 2025 (may continue until 3rd June 2025). Alternative route is via Chapel Lane, C790 Browick Road, Wymondham Road, Station Road, Norwich Road, London Road, Avenue Road, Town Green, Cemetery Lane, Chapel Lane and vice versa. The works promoter is Openreach.

WYMONDHAM 2 – C154 Dyke’s Road from its junction with U73202 Backman’s Road for 200m northwards to facilitate pole works from 23rd to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 4th June 2025). Alternative route is via Dyke’s Road, B1135 Norwich Road, Chapel Lane, Cock Road, The Green, Goose Green, Silfield Road, Downham Grove, High Oak Road, Pye Road, The Green, The Crescent, Wymondham Road, Chapel Lane, Cock Road, Pye Road, Wymondham Road. The works promoter is BT.

BIRCHAM – Smithsman Road from its junction with B1153 Lynn Road to its junction with Fring Road to facilitate patching and kerb replacement works from 22nd to 24th April 2025 (may continue until 5th June 2025). Alternative route is via Fring Road, Bircham Road, Docking Road, Sedgeford Road, Lynn Road, Docking, Fring, Bircham. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

CLEINGWATHO – C808 Millards Road to its junction with Park Road for 100m eastwards to facilitate carriageway preparation works from 22nd to 24th April 2025 (may continue until 5th June 2025). Alternative route is via Cookes Road, Bailey Lane, Mill Lane, Hall Road, Main Road, Ferry Road. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

DOWNHAM MARKET – Park Lane from its junction with London Road for 47m westwards to facilitate gas main replacement works from 21st to 23rd May 2025 (may continue until 3rd June 2025). Alternative route is via Park Lane, London Road, Richmond Road, Prince Avenue, Railway Road, Bridge Street, High Street, Church Road. The works promoter is Cadent Gas.

KING’S LYNN – Purefield Street from its junction with High Street for 65m westwards to facilitate survey activities for 21st to 23rd April 2025 (may continue until 3rd June 2025). Alternative route is via High Street, Nelson Street, Tower Street, St James Street and vice versa. The works promoter is Cadent Gas.

TILNEY ST LAWRENCE – High Road from its junction with The Avenue for 250m northwards to facilitate patching works from 21st to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via A47, School Road, Islington Road, Lynn Road, New Road, Church Road, Magdalen Road, Tilney All Saints, Tilney St Lawrence. The works promoter is Norfolk County Council.

UPWELL – Small Lode from its junction with Small Lode Lane for 120m eastwards to facilitate drainage works from 22nd to 24th April 2025 (may continue until 5th June 2025). Alternative route is via Small Lode (A5), Bridge Road, Isle Road, Small Lode (B1), The Rectory, New Road, Town Street, Upwell. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

WEREHAM – Downham Road 100m north of its junction with Church Road for 50m northwards to facilitate telecoms works from 23rd to 25th April 2025 (may continue until 6th June 2025). Alternative route is via Church Road, A134 Stoke Road, Wretton Road, Church Lane, Wretton Road, Church Road, Stoke Road, A134, Church Road, St Margaret’s Hill, School Lane. The works promoter is Anglian Water.

The team dealing with enquiries at Norfolk County Council is West Area.

Unless otherwise stated, the effects of the Orders will be to prohibit the use by vehicles of the roads during the specified period (except for access). The restriction applies to the extent shown on the road as indicated by traffic signs. The reason for the restriction is to facilitate the stated works.

The maximum duration of each is because of the likelihood of danger to the public whilst works are being carried out on or near the road.

The Orders are made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.

The Orders are resolved on the date of the event as indicated above and will have effect in relation to the roads at the times when traffic signs indicating the said restrictions are in place.

The persons dealing with applications for this Order on behalf of the Council are the Area Managers of the appropriate Area Offices.
