Peterborough: Etton / Paston / Castor / Fletton Parkway - Temporary Traffic & Footpath Orders

What is happening?

Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough has made an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Woodcroft Road, Etton Ref: 26-008

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Woodcroft Road, Etton as lies between points 20 metres either side of Woodcroft Level Crossing. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: via Woodcroft Rd, Helpston Rd, Glinton Rd, West St, King St, Stamford Rd, and vice versa. The proposed Order will come into force on the 26/04/2025 and will continue until the railway level crossing maintenance works have been completed or until the 25/04/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place between 23:00 and 09:00 on the 26/04/2025 to 27/04/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order – Dodds Cyclepath 2025 Ref: 26-009

The effect of which is to stop any pedestrian or cyclist from proceeding along the footpath/cycle path known as Dodds Cyclepath, where Freston and Dodds Cyclepath meet. The Council is satisfied that pedestrians and cyclists should be prohibited due to works being proposed to be executed on the above footpath/cycle path. The alternative route for pedestrians and cyclists affected by this Order is: Dodds Cyclepath, footpaths around Chadburn and Honeyhill, Chadburn, Paston Ridings, Freston and vice versa. The Order will come into operation on the 28/04/2025 and will continue until the new electrical connection works have been completed or until the 27/10/2025, whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will be completed between the 28/04/2025 and 09/05/2025. For further information please contact HVSS on 01604 781107. FP2 Notice is given that the Council of the City of Peterborough intends in not less than seven days to make an Order pursuant to section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Pittneys, Paston, Peterborough Ref: 26-014

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Pittneys, Paston as lies between 46 to end. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. There is no alternative route for vehicles affected by this order (cul de sac). The proposed order will come into force on the 06/05/2025 and will continue until the new electrical connection works have been completed or until the 05/05/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place from the 06/05/2025 to the 09/05/2025. The City of Peterborough Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic Order 2025 – Church Hill, Castor Ref: 26-010

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Church Hill, Castor, as lies between Stocks Hill junction and 30m west. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Stocks Hill, Peterborough Road, The Green and vice versa. The proposed order will come into force on the 06/05/2025 and will continue until the meter exchange works have been completed or until the 05/05/2026, whichever is the earlier. Closure dates will be confirmed locally on site. It is anticipated that the works will take place on the 06/05/2025. For further information please contact Anglian Water on 08457 145145. RC1 The Council of the City of Peterborough gives notice pursuant to section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984:

The City of Peterborough Fletton Parkway Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 2025 Ref: 26-012

The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Fletton Parkway, as lies between the exit and entry slip roads of the junction 1 westbound carraigeway. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is: Fletton Parkway junction 1 westbound off slip, Fletton Parkway roundabout 1, Fletton Parkway westbound on slip. This notice is made in the interest of cut and patch works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days from 28/04/2025. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
