Main Street, Silecroft - Temporary Road Closure due to Level Crossing Maintenance Works

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U4072 MAIN STREET, SILECROFT)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable level crossing maintenance works to be carried out (“the Works”), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along that section of the U4072 Main Street, Silecroft, from its junction with The Nook, extending in a north easterly direction for approx. 20m.

There is no suitable alternative route for available for vehicles.

The Order will come into operation on 27 April 2025 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required from 1900 hours on Sunday 27 April 2025 to 0600 hours on Monday 28 April 2025, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
